Very decent track, staff is very friendly and professional. There is no driving range but they do have nice hitting areas if you’re looking to warm up

Great fun course... really nice condition... the greens were hard and quick... had a great time... will be back...

Amazing course for all skill levels & friendly staff!

Great course. Always well maintained, good greens. Staff are always pleasant, friendly and very helpful. Good pace of play. Hickories a nice place to stop for a drink and a bit after your round.

Beautiful course with the best food I’ve ever had at a golf course! The staff members are always extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The prices are fair and they offer many different options, such as game passes, for reduced prices. They encourage new golfers while maintaining good pace of play for more experienced golfers. I cannot recommend Metcalfe Golf enough!

Recently played this course and I was very disappointed. First off the girl working the pro shop had a terrible demeanor. When I was asking questions she sounded like she didn’t want to be there and had a very rude tone. Second they needed my CC info on file for a public round. I never have had to do that at any other public course in Ottawa. Found that odd… and when I said I didn’t feel comfortable doing that they stated I couldn’t play. Thirdly we got rained out at 13-14. Usually courses will give credit or a discounted rate but they didn’t. I payed good money for a round and it’s unfortunate that they couldn’t give my friends and I a rain check like most courses in Ottawa. It’s a beautiful course and it would be nice for employees to respect the public players besides just members.
An update on my recent experience with Metcalfe Golf Club over the weekend. There's something troubling that wasn't mentioned in my initial post, which has escalated beyond the original issue.
Prior to our round, we called the clubhouse to inform them that we might be running a few minutes late for our scheduled tee time. They accommodated us over the phone without any issues, which we appreciated.
During our round, as detailed in my earlier post, my concerns stand as stated. Metcalfe Golf Course also responded to my review. While I don't agree with all their points, I believe they deserved a chance to address my feedback.
After my review was published, Metcalfe Golf Course decided to charge a "No Show" fee for the adjusted tee time. This fee was clearly retaliatory. What's more concerning is that they accessed this money directly from my debit card without my authorization.
When I contacted the General Manager to request a reversal of the charge without involving my bank, he offered to do so only if I removed my initial review. This condition reinforces my belief that the charge was indeed retaliatory (extortion in a way) . Given that the review had been posted for some time, with both our perspectives visible, I declined to take it down.
Fortunately, my bank promptly reversed the charges on my debit card, as Metcalfe had no right to access my bank account for any reason. I also was in contact with Visa throughout this time and they had agreed with my statement.
I proposed a simple resolution: refund the $30 that was wrongly charged, and I would move on. However, he refused, which struck me as petty and unfair.
I would advise caution in providing personal banking information, such as debit or credit card details, to this organization. Their actions suggest they may feel entitled to access and withdraw funds at their discretion.
Ultimately, whether it's $1 or $100, the principle remains the same—it's my money, and I expect it to be handled with integrity and respect.
Now I have the GM visiting my social media accounts such as my LinkedIn. Which is making me feel extremely uncomfortable.

Played the 9-hole and the 18-hole course. 18-hole is beautiful this time of year. Greens were perfect and running really fast. There was tournament play today so the pins were in very challenging locations. Overall, great experience.
