Philz Coffee

I used to be a huge fan of Philz Coffee, especially for their signature Mint Mojito Iced Coffee, but my recent visit left me disappointed. What used to be a refreshing, carefully crafted drink tasted more rushed, lacking the delicious, balanced flavors that kept me coming back. Even the vibe felt off—where were the friendly, enthusiastic baristas who used to make the experience memorable? This time, they seemed to be going through the motions with a more mechanical stride, which took away from that personal touch I used to love.

For $8 and change, I expected more. If you’re just after an average coffee, it might be fine, but Philz was known for offering something above the ordinary, and that special experience just wasn’t there this time.

There is a reason this is an iconic destination in Chicago...that other place is no longer a "star" getting my "bucks"! New Orleanians know excellent coffee, and Philz has our attention!

I had the rose iced coffee and a cookie. The coffee was ok. It was late in the afternoon so I didn’t want to finish it. The cookie was amazing especially warm. The WiFi was strong and the customer service was nice.

Walked in just now with a strange blend request 80% decaf, 20% caf and a splash of hot chocolate Beth immediately said "Yes we can make that happen" that is customer service at its finest. The other two Baristas Duncan and Kaylan(sorry for misspelling) were also energetic and helpful as well and the coffee was phenomenal. This great team is what makes this location a success! Cheers and whenever I'm back I will def stop by 👍

Very pleasant experience. Coffee shop that doesn’t scream in your face that it’s a coffee shop, meaning no aggressive sounds and smells common to coffee shops. Service is attentive and makes coffee diligently.

As someone who regularly avoids coffee but loves mojitos, I usually go out of my way to order something from here. They have unique drinks, your classic coffee, and also an array of treats!

I typically order the iced mint mojito and couldn't recommend it more! There's a creamy texture and it's not heavily coffee scented.

The coffee shop itself doesn't have a strong coffee odor, so it's a great place for people looking for study places with sandwiches and pastries - without the overwhelming presence of coffee. Tables and chairs are kept clean. Free cups of water available as well.

On my birthday weekend, we stopped by this place for some refreshing drinks. We absolutely loved the variation they had - not your regular type of coffee shop. Delicious drinks, sweet, and tasty! The honey haze was a hit!
