I enjoyed my time here. Over the 3 years I was in my one bedroom, things improved a lot. Most notably, the pool. For a long time people were somehow bringing in like 5 to 10 guests even though you're only allowed two per resident. They have cracked down on that which was so nice! Also, they are super dog friendly! The grounds are adequately maintained. There are a lot of small children so there's going to be dropped wrappers and what not but they keep up with trash pickup pretty well. Location is excellent! I really don't have anything bad to say!

Tilly misses you guys in the office 😘 (Tilly is my dog!)

Moving into Tuckahoe Creek Apartments was enjoyable and easy. The office staff was very helpful and communicative from the initial introduction to the community, during the application process, then all the way to the final step of getting my keys for move-in.

Special shout out to Chris Block, who went above and beyond to make sure I had the help and directions I needed along the way to ensure the process went smoothly!

The bad things definitely outweigh any of the pros about the complex. My main issue is their inability to help. I sleep maybe an hour a night lately because the floors above me were installed incorrectly. They creek so incredibly loud that you can hear them outside of my apartment before even stepping inside. I get woken up maybe 5 times throughout the night because every single panel creeks and rattles the walls of my apartment waking up both my dog and I. I sometimes even sleep in my car. At first when I brought the issue to their attention they said it was not normal and they would look into it. I didn’t hear anything back for weeks and had to keep emailing and going to the office. Instead of trying to resolve the issue they try to ignore it and told me to get more box fans to tune out the noise.

I am also very clean but the bugs are really bad. There are constantly cockroaches crawling in the hallway and little gnats come up the disposal. The dog park is also in terrible shape where portions of the fence are zip tied. I am nervous to even take my dog there because it is a safety hazard. Especially with all the dog poop that is not picked up.

It is a nice complex in a great neighborhood, but for the price they really need to resolve a lot of issues many renters bring to their attention. And instead of putting money into the pool fix the serious issues that need to be addressed first.

What can I say? Everything creeks floor, tub etc….cant sleep past 7 not even on your day off. As my mom says live and learn and this definitely was a learning experience. I had no choice but to give it 1 star and I guess that’s for the parking. BEWARE!!!

Finally moving out of this place so I decided to share my experience. First of all, the reason I chose this property was from all the fake reviews - this property should not have a 4.2 star rating - more like 2.5 stars if I am being generous.

Pros: Rent was cheap. It was easy to get approved. The location is the best part of the property.

Cons: Where to begin…when I moved in there were dead roaches in my cabinets and you could tell it was the landlord special paint job even though they advertise the building as newly renovated units. Roaches and other pests run rampant here and the pest control is just a little sticky pad they put in a few cabinets. Maintenance is terrible - took 3 months to get my washer replaced in the heat of summer. Had a huge water leak that was only fixed because I had to put in 5+ requests for them to fix the water damage and mold growing in my bathroom. Was told it was fine until I had to give them a piece of my mind on the phone. Even after they “fixed” the problem they did the bare minimum repair and there was still broken drywall, chipped paint from installing a new vanity, and they never repaired the wall after they said they would come back to do so. Paint chips easily, things break easily, in the first few months my smoke detector batteries died…it is just the little things that show they do not care and will lie and advertise a better place than what you receive. Good luck using the amenities on the weekend because you would think it was a public pool based on how crowded it gets with the residents who bring 10-15 people and post up at the pool all day long. They tend to do the same thing with all other outdoor spaces on this property as well. Walls are thin and neighbors have no respect for others constantly screaming and working on their cars outside. I have a longer list of maintenance problems and other issues from this place but the review would be even longer if I wrote them all out.

Please just do your best to avoid this place if you can and use your judgement if you decide to move in. Get a top floor level apartment at the least so you can avoid the noises and just understand this is a mediocre property with one of the worst property management companies in Richmond.
