Great foods!Everything is freshly made and you can taste the high quality of the ingredients (especially the shrimps and squid). Authentic Asian style with complex aroma. Desert has delicate flavor.Friendly staff and caring service (her name is Fa, she always gives you a warm smile). Will recommend to friends and any Asian food lovers!

Headline: the food was good but did not live up the the incredible hype
We loved the atmosphere, our servers were kind, and the portion sizes were fair. I left feeling satisfied but not “wowed”
A highlight were the non alcoholic drinks! Definitely recommend

- Location: The restaurant is situated at a corner, adjacent to a residential area.
- Seating: There are both indoor and outdoor seating areas. The seating options include booths and regular tables.
- Cuisine: The restaurant serves Lao and Thai cuisine. The menu offers both classic and fusion dishes created by the restaurant’s chef.
- Parking: Parking is available along the sidewalk at designated parking spots. There is a fee for parking.

[Personal Opinion]
- Food: The CALAMALAO (calamari) is exceptionally delicious and unlike any other I've tasted. It has a unique blend of flavors. The DEEP-FRIED CHIVE are crispy and flavorful with a tasty dipping sauce. The PAPAYA SALAD tastes authentically Lao-Thai (quite spicy). The cocktails and desserts are also delicious.
- Ambiance: The restaurant has a beautiful and inviting interior, creating a comfortable atmosphere.
- Overall: This restaurant is perfect for those seeking authentic Lao-Thai flavors. It's also an excellent choice for group gatherings or casual dining.
- Recommendation: It's advisable to make a reservation before visiting. If you cannot eat spicy food, let the waiter know when you order.

We tried a bit of everything with a table of 6 and I think that made the experience way better. The salad is a good shareable and the fish is worth trying. The appetizer cakes were worth trying as well. I wouldn't recommend the beef bowl though or the desserts.

Overall service was very good and they were very attentive as well as helpful.

Weekday lunch & we wanted something besides boring food we’ve been having at our conference- had a lovely visit here, it’s absolutely beautiful & sparkling clean inside. Were greeted & seated immediately & constantly had water refilled. Food was complex in flavor, delicious yet not heavy. We definitely want to return & try dinner & dessert sometime. I’ve got family from SE Asia so I’m normally judgmental about this region of cuisine: this place is legit!

Before we came, the expectation of Asian food in D.C. is zero, however, this place blew our whole family’s mind. Even the little sister who always ate very little had two rice and she was craving the leftover food we took away the second day , that is how good this place is. As someone travel from Singapore , I would say this place is south East Asian approved.

Curry chicken is creamy, fragrant and flavorful, best pairing with white rice.
Beef clear soup came with beef cube , very authentic taste of south East Asia.
Since this is a Laos restaurant, it is gently seasoned and not over spicy like some Thai food , the green papaya salad is nice and refreshing.
Fried calamari is crispy.
The vibe of the restaurant is good , they are quite busy too.

Determined to find something new to add to our cuisine we chose this restaurant as our final taste test in dc— and it certainly delivered. The Suki dish was unlike anything I’ve ever tried before in regards to the soup, and the glass noodles came together perfectly with the spices and the glass noodles. Their beef could be considered one of the best cuts of beef I have ever tried alongside their hot sauce that was given. I have yet to try more of Thai and Laotian cuisine, therefore the authenticity is better determined by those more cultured and experienced who want to discover a different restaurant or dish. Laotians and Thais know best- but the spices and herbs were just right to someone eager to try and learn from new cuisines.

The service itself was eager- it was quick and it was respectful. You’ll certainly drink enough water given the amount of times they come to pour it for you. The music was quiet and peaceful (loud restaurants do not have my vote). Even though the area itself was heavily crowded, everything came together nicely and the ambience was fantastic. You don’t need to worry about having a smaller amount of space and less time to enjoy your meal.
