Pierce Lake

Beautiful morning walk this morning

Pierce lake located in Rock Cut State Park in Loves Park, Illinois is a small peaceful lake. It was the perfect lake to test out my first inflatable kayak. Very little waves. My sister had a paddleboard and it worked out great for her too. There's a concession area as well where you can rent kayaks and paddleboards.

It is a part of Rock Cut State Park. Though it does not have a swimming beach, the other lake in Rock Cut does. But Pierce Lake does have a really nice hiking trail circling it. They also rent kayaks, canoes, paddle boards and paddle boats. There is a public boat launch. There is also a nice little restaurant and convince gift shop next to the boat launch.

Gorgeous lake with lots of fish

Beautiful, pristine setting! Many activities, boating, peddle boating, camping, hiking and fishing.
Rentals are available and camping sites are now available.
Restaurant is now open and there is also a store to purchase bait and tackle!
Restrooms and outhouses throughout park were clean and maintained.
Forgot to mention the numerous hiking and biking trails!
There is also a fishing pier and picnic areas!
Come on out and enjoy!

Great place to go fishing, and even around paddle boats, canoes, and motor boats. Prices are a bit high but well worth it if you have the money to go and don’t have your own boat. There are menu fish in the lake though unfortunately it has been over fished for years and I don’t think they’ve restocked it recently but it’s still a good place to take the kids fishing

Rockcut State Park...lots of outside things to do...boat rentals, bait shop, trails for hiking and biking.
