The Hollywood Walk of Fame has its iconic charm, no doubt, but after walking, I couldn't help but feel it's a tad overrated. The initial excitement gives way to the realization that it's a crowded and touristy stretch.
While the stars themselves hold a piece of Hollywood's history, the bustling sidewalks and constant foot traffic can make it challenging to fully appreciate the experience. It's almost as if the glitz and glamour of the entertainment world clash with the realities of the city.
That said, it's worth a visit if you're a film buff or a fan of celebrity culture, but don't set your expectations too high. The real magic of Hollywood might be found in unexpected places beyond the star-studded sidewalk. đđŹđ¶ââïž

Not what we were expecting. Took our girls to Hollywood Blvd to check out the Walk of Fame. Itâs completely NOT how itâs depicted in movies. Litter and homeless people everywhere. We couldnât walk a block without being bombarded by people selling souvenirs and t-shirts. The only enjoyable part of this visit was Ripleyâs Believe It or Not. Its the only place in Hollywood we recommend visiting, very fun and educational place to take the kids! đ
I believe itâs Highly overrated place. It's a must visit for the first time visitors to enjoy your walk while looking for any familiar Hollywood stars. This was my second visit to the walk of Fame and the equation has drastically changed
It was well maintained in the year 2018. As of now, the place seems to have poorly maintained. Due to the uncontrolled rent market many have lost their homes and put up their tents on the streets. However I see that the streets are continuously being cleaned to avoid thrash floating around in the air. The touristy section of the street is still looking clean and could be the one where you want to take pictures.

It's disappointing that great artists are honored with this. After reading some reviews, my expectations weren't high, but the reality was worse than I had imagined. I went to there as the first thing I was going to do in LA, and what an awful first impression.

Unfortunately, almost all of the parking meters had no instructions, as the labels were torn off. This is terrible for someone who is not from the US. Eventually, I found a meter with a QR code which led to an app that is not available in my Googleâs account country. Nice move! Geo-locking an app that is probably going to be used by tourists.
After finally exchanging some quarters to pay for the parking meter, which I'm still not sure if I paid correctly, I heard an angry homeless person approaching and shouting in the street. I quickly locked up the car and started walking away.
While walking through some blocks, I constantly felt the smell of urine. Many of the stars were dirty, with gum and tire marks from bicycles. Some stars were blocked by tents and people trying to sell stuff. Locals may become impatient with tourists who stop to take pictures.
If you are a fan of cinema and want to visit, thinking this is a way to honor these artists, better think again. It should be called the Walk of Shame.

We were lucky enough to be accommodated on the Hollywood Walk of Fame during our stay. That's why we walked down this long street full of world-famous stars many times. There we visited the film museum, attended a performance at the Chinese Theater and, with great luck, won tickets for a guided tour of the Dolby Theatre. There was no shortage of random movie stars either.
The street was clean, better than New York City Times Square. Names on the Stars are difficult to find at night. Some names on stars are very dirty and barely visible.

Be prepared to walk! .. Plenty of parking spaces at the Ovation Hollywood Mall, and if you happen to purchase anything from the mall, even if it's a coffee from one of the cafés, get your parking ticket validated to get a couple of hours of parking for 3 bucks!
That'll be plenty to walk around the block, view the path, buy some souvenirs, and even see some street performers. Overall, it is a good place to visit during your stay in LA.
