This is a hidden gem. Short easy walking trails did not have time to explore all of it but will be definitely going back

This is a great place to launch a kayak. Once you are on the water, there is a lot to explore. From Beachwood Park Dobbins Island is a five mile paddle. If you check online, there is a map that shows all of the hidden gems along the way. Just look up Magothy River Water Trail. There are a couple of things to keep in mind, however. The water is about 100 yards from the parking area, down a hill on a dirt trail. So, a kayak cart may be needed. The hill isn't too horrible, but it is a bit of a walk. Depending on when you go, there can be an abundance of boat traffic. Especially out on the main river. The upper portion where you launch is really nice. There is boat traffic. However, the speed limit is low. When you paddle here, you are not going to be in the wilderness. There are lots of houses and piers, and docked boats. But this does not take away from the joy of paddling this area.

This place is so beautiful that I'd like to keep it hidden! So ... don't go! LoL
A nice place for a quick hike and a relaxing place to decompress while overlooking the Magothy River.

It's good with the understanding it's a quick attempt to provide more water access in AACO. The main trail straight to the water down the steps has A LOT of broken glass. We went to kayak it was a terrible put in. The better put in is after the 3rd parking area. The signage in the main area could be better. If you're kayaking look for the sign further down the road with about 100 yards of moderate hill to the water.

Small, wooded park with multiple walking paths, all leading to a beautiful river. Great place for an amateur hiker like myself. I will definitely return to sit by the water. Bonus, best kept port o potty I've seen in my whole life.

Good place to go fishing in the early spring. Good summertime sunsets.

Such a nice, quiet place for fishing. Catches a beautiful breeze as well as has sunshine and shade. The bathroom is clean too, a big plus:)
