There is a good park, it is quiet there, but the sound of cars interferes, since it is located next to the bridge

Brookside park is a good place for the whole family! There is plenty of space for children to play and easy access to the restrooms. Theres trees everywhere and even with the hot weather I was able to stay cool and fresh

A couple of times a year music festivals take over some of brookside and host a lot of vegan options. Mostly on the golf footprint but the entire surrounding area gets congested. Love the food and music coming to Pasadena.

Happy Munchies,

I feel like I barely scratched the surface of this beautiful and spacious park. One of the few places in the LA area where I feel surrounded by nature on all sides, despite knowing Pasadena and LA proper lie just beyond the tree line

Interesting place bunch of people had paid to be there. They had their own permit and stuff and then there are a bunch of people that just showed up randomly and decided that they want to show off their cars. I recommend this place. It has a playground and all that stuff.

Downs Park is one of my most favorite places to visit! There are so many highlights I don't think I could list them all! There are playgrounds for children, a fishing pier for families, trails for active people, Pavillions to rent for parties, a stage for concerts and events, and one of my most favorite places to sit which is right in front of the water where the ships go by... Downs Park is a beautiful year round, with lots of trees and water, with a little beach, and a separate beach for dogs! Unfortunately, due to the rocks and sticks in the water swimming is not allowed (for people) and the rule I believe is you can only go knee deep or less. But right next to the beach, there is a kayak ramp if you have any kayaks. There are so many things at Downs Park that I can not even list them all, but I have tried my best to list all the highlights.

As it is with The Rose Bowl Stadium, this park is also down in the same beautiful valley!
I’ve enjoyed good times here having picnics and hanging out just prior to the games.
Folks gather round for tailgate parties and make it a good time fun place to be.
There’s lots of shade trees, open space, ball fields, public restrooms, hiking trails, scenery, parking and playgrounds, including the Pirate Park for kids!
Parking is free except for stadium event days that come at a price, as parking attendants may charge for event parking. Otherwise park goers may need to arrive early and park outside the stadium lot.

I have been coming to this park since I was a child. It has always been an amazing experience. It is always peaceful, full of beautiful birds of all kids, deer and more. It is always an adventure when we go. Now, I get to take my kids to experience all the wonders that I did when I was their age. This will always be my happy place!

A great park in Pasadena near the Rose Bowl. It is clean, huge, and not overly crowded. Not to mention, it has a pirate ship in the playground for kiddos to play. Love that it has a lot of shade and picnic tables/benches throughout the entire park. There is also tennis courts, a kidspace children’s museum, and a fitness trail. So much to do, I just adore this park!!

Ive only been back once in 15 years and so far i love it so much better than when i was younger. Its so nice and well kept. Cant wait to come back
The playground is huge and very different. It is also right next to the water and pavillion which is perfect.
Can fish almost anywhere. There is a dog beach and one just for humans.

A very strong negative are the condition of the porta potties. I visited two and there was diarrhea on the seat, toilet paper shoved in the urinal and flies all over in one. The other one didn't have a urinal but was full of flies. The maintenance schedule on the wall said it hadn't been serviced in 3 weeks.

Visited only a portion of this very large and beautiful park. Options for the kids to play on the new and improved playground. Plus, lots of nature trails and paths need to water with plenty of seating. Beach access for kayaking and canoeing. Plenty of restrooms and restaurants along the way.
Great peaceful place for walking and taking in the Bay!

Park is clean, well kept. The play ground is in the shade up the hill and had lots of items on structure. Bathrooms are available, but not always clean, fyi. There are soccer fields and baseball fields available for use. No water available for drinking.

Nice historical place, but no beaches to sit and relax
Great big park in the Rosebowl area
This park is more for the neighborhood kids that it's in, than driving out of your way to visit. It's a pretty basic playground, nothing special. But what got me is that parents clearly allow their children to come here alone. While I was there a child had a bloody nose and 2 others were arguing, hitting and yelling at each other. I probably wouldn't visit again.

What a pleasant surprise this park was. There is a fee to enter as it’s a state park. I am a veteran so I was able to enter for free. This park has nice picnic areas with lots of grills for coals and tables. It has a swimming area. There are piers to fish from with tables on piers for handling your catch. There is a boat ramp for small boats. It even has half court basketball areas and a playground. They have walking paths and clean shores. The views are gorgeous and lots of signs sharing history of the area too.

This is a Beautiful Park for Barbecuing,Picnicking, Beach/Swimming,Fishing piers,And they even have a basketball court.
LOVE IT HERE!!
However,
They are completely neglecting the playground area. There are two swings missing, The mulch has not been replaced or added in the swing area for a long time as you can see.
Let's make the playground great again Arundel County.

Was there only for an hour in the evening and definitely loved it for the clean shore line and number of birds I saw in that little time. The sunset is definitely an added bonus. It felt little loud sometimes as there were many photography sessions going on + picnic people. Overall nice place to enjoy sunset and see the resident ospreys.
It is not good place to come if you are looking for barbecue place. It is just a park for children to come and enjoy

A hidden gem park with a dog beach, garden that's been maintained since the 1900s, and a walking trail that wraps around the whole property with both water and nature views. I'm personally not a fan of flowers or gardens, but even this one made me feel tranquil and at peace. You can get to the dog beach just walking the trail but if you park in parking lot at the back right corner of the park, it's only a 3-5min walk to the beach. When you get inside there's a few steps, but once you get to the bottom, you can take your dog off leash and let them enjoy the water, sand, and other dogs of varying sizes. Love this place!

Visited late June 2021 - Beach closed, orange construction mesh fence along most of the park. Nice pavilion overlooking the water. Plenty of single grills and picnic tables under trees providing shade. Playground for the kids and basketball courts. The view to the water is nice but again a bit closed off due to the beach being closed off. Small entrance fee of $6 (cash only) per car but free with military ID. Very nice park for a day trip visit.

Be prepared for a lot of sunlight. The fields are very nice and well maintained. We were on a back field and the path stops half way through so we had 2 strollers that we had to push through grass and sand. Its a pretty good distance so also bring walking shoes.. There is no shade so plan accordingly. I do not know if there is a concession stand so also bring drinks and snacks. We learned the hard way but now we know.

Peaceful and simple park at the opening to Baltimore's inner harbor. I like the views of the bay and up close feeling to a natural spot here. Plenty of space for picnics and BBQs. Not crowded whenever I go in the winter months but remember it will cost a few dollars to enter so consider the $30 season pass for this and other AACo parks.

A gorgeous mini park area nestled at the end of a culdasac and right before suicide bridge. Park on the street and walk to it. Streets are posted for 2 hour parking and are not metered. The lights are gorgeous at night.

Beautifully maintained park. Walked on the nearby bridge known as suicide bridge made a prayer for all those who took their own life. I hope they found peace in the afterlife.
Clean and great for children
We had a great time at this park! There’s a lot of shade—all the picnic tables, half of the benches, and about half of the playground are covered. The swing set is full sun, though, so be careful with that. We actually brought water and squirt guns, so it worked out great! There’s a nice grassy open area to the left of the park that’s perfect for kicking around a soccer ball or playing catch. The park itself seems newer. There was a decent amount of trash laying in the grass areas surrounding the park, seemingly from the properties right next to it.
Parking is a little hard because it’s a pull up along the fence type situation. But it’s very quiet and seems like very few people come out, so it wasn’t an issue. Overall, we loved this little gem! In the age of COVID, it seems extra hard to find an isolated park where we don’t need masks!

No parking lot so you'd have to park alongside the street where MOST vehicles pass by really fast through that street. Other than that, the tiny "play lot" isn't too bad.

I like this park to visit and kill time with amazing seen of river and surrounding. Good park for the kids, right on the water, great sunset, kind of awesome place to visit. Somehow, I have been there but after that I have been there like regular base. It is all the way from fort Small wood rd. So very easy to get here. If you are making planning to visit here, bring yours kids with you if you have. Because they will love here. They have many playgrounds for kids too. kids will get chance to see some large boats that go in and out of the ports in the city (Baltimore)
And yes, this is good picnic areas and nice sized pavilions. But be sure they have one-way road here around so don’t feel bore if you must drive more around it. And you must pay 6$ for per car to entry here then you can drive all around it. On my last visit I have got chance to capture some picture. I like to share here for all nature lovers. I believe this is great family park and super nice environment over here. And you will also get chance to watch deer here they mostly come out closer to closing because it gets quieter and easier to get food. This is Great little place to explore. It has a beautiful beach that gives you an amazing view of the water but not for swimming.

Beautiful place. Loved seeing the water and views.
More swings pls
A great park for toddlers to about 8 years old. Large pirate ship themed jungle gym and other things. There is a nearby bathroom and plenty of parking.

The parents tend to be a bit helicopter'ish, as opposed to letting the kids try to play with each other, but still a fun experience for kids.

This definitely isn't a big playground but my kids and husband were able to spend a good hour playing here before everyone wanted to leave. Mind you my kids are 10 and under...I don't think older kids would want to spend as much time here. It's clean and in a decent area, there's just not much play equipment.

It’s a very nice park. The pirate ship playground is big , my kid spent the whole afternoon there. There is a children’s museum in the park as well. It’s definitely a great place to spend the weekend.

Nice park
Lovely location. We had no luck finding a way to get there with public transit, but please correct me if I'm wrong!
This large playground is nautical themed, and dominated by a large (and pretty awesome!) pirate ship, complete with cannons, a ships wheel, portholes and more! The ground is responsive rubber to minimize injuries, and made to look like the ocean. There are other small features around the ship, including standard playground devices such as stairs, bridges and slides.

A super fun playground for kids to run around on and make believe!
