Dark Garden by Val Sparkes was a stunning exhibition at Bett Gallery Hobart. Limited edition prints of this brilliant photographic work are still available, even though the shop is now closed.

The best contemporary art gallery in Hobart. Fortnightly exhibitions over two spaces, ranging in medium, style and type.

There is a focus on painting and ceramics, some sculpture was seen in their stockroom.

The staff were very friendly and answered all questions asked. They didn’t have their nose turned up even when discussing the works with a prospective younger couple.

I am from Sydney, & love this gallery.They have a wide variety of exhibits, & some quirky pieces.
The staff are extremely helpful, & knowledgeable
I struggled home with a piece I bought.I will certainly visit again
