The comics were good but the venue is awful and to be honest the entire thing feels like a trap. The publicity says that the show starts at 19:30 but it didn't start until 20:00, there was a '10 minute break' lasting 20 minutes between every act and they also encourage you to arrive before 19:00 as the (non-existent) table will be held until then. I believe this is all a ploy to get you to buy more of their extortionately priced drinks. Over £5 for for a 330ml bottle of beer is ridiculous. The lighting is a horrible red and in the breaks really loud music is played making it difficult to have a conversation. If this moved venues I might change my opinion but right now I suggest avoiding this at all costs unless you're a stag or hen party.

The poor rating here is nothing to do with the staff, nor the acts, I just was not very happy with the venue at all.
We were sat in chairs lined up on a dance floor with very loud club music played over the intervals so you cannot even talk to each other during an interval unless you shout things like you were in a concert. Had to put our drinks on the floor next to my chair and keep leaning down as there were no tables out at all.
Being the venue that it is, it seems it has attracted in a crowd that were just club going drunks out to party that night. Which also meant the heckling going on for the comics was just relentless and ruined most of the act, you could see it got awkward and uncomfortable for everyone including people on stage trying to entertain.

The stand up comedy was decent, however the drinks were on the expensive side. Also they decide to blast music at you between the comedians at such volume you are unable to have a conversation with the person next to you. I can only imagine this is to push you towards going to the bar to spend more money.

Comedians were great but the set up was poor. It was as if they hadn't run a comedy night before...delayed entry into club, food not ready and when it was it was very low quality, the mic didn't work well which the comedians did well to deal with, a member of the staff pushed past me for every act to do some reading round my feet. Great comedy, perhaps need to find a better venue.

Great comedy, dodgy food! Went as part of a stag night and had food whilst inside. The two options offered were either Nacho's or hot dog. I made the mistake of choosing the hot dog. The voucher to be handed to the server had a picture of a real sausage hot dog with nice looking toppings on. What was presented instead was a footlong rollover hot dog fished out of some lovely grey water in a stale bun with some chips, that were fresh at some point, just not that night.
The comedy however was too notch and I laughed my ass off all night. There were 3 comics and a compare. It was great to see that each comedian had different styles, yet were still extremely funny.
My advice would be to visit and enjoy yourself, just eat before you go!!!

We booked tickets directly through the website with a group of friends and were notified a few days beforehand that the venue would be moved to Pryzm night club. It was an apologetic email because it was quite short notice so we weren't too bothered. However on the actual day about an hour before the gig (when we were pretty much out the door and excited for an evening of comedy) we received another email to say that the show was cancelled. It was my birthday and a few friends were already on their way so that was a rubbish start to the evening and pretty much ruined my birthday celebrations. Again - they were super apologetic and seemed sincerely sorry and said we would get free tickets because we were messed about so badly. I have emailed twice since to get our free tickets and have never heard back - that was about 3 months ago now. Very very disappointed and would definitely not recommend for a special occasion as you cannot rely on the show actually happening.

Definitely recommend it. We went on a saturday night having booked the tickets the same day. They have a convenient bar and provide dinner if you buy the tickets accordingly. It's fairly big and despite their strict "arrive on time" announcement on their website the show actually started 45min after the official time. Really had a good time with comedians and I didn't know I could laugh so hard. The MC was quite good as well.
