Okra Green

Have been here many times and the food and service are always great. Very good takeaway food too.
I think they have received some unfair reviews criticising one off poor delivery times etc from people who would be very upset if Okra Green was no longer there in Castleknock

First time customer tonight, take away.
The restaurant looks great but was very disappointed to get home and find that both dishes I got were swimming in Oil !
Why...why....why?? I'd love a response as can't understand it?

I have been ordering from Okra Green for about 4 years now. Been to the restaurant many times too. Restaurant visits have been good but their takeaway service lately is absolutely abysmal and their standards have dropped off a cliff in the last 12 months or so. Food nearly 50 minutes late from delivery time requested, cold (obviously) and tasteless. I usually enjoy their food but the last order was all heat from chilli (its not an overly spicy dish) and little else. Having to consistently microwave your food, that you pay a lot of money for because it's cold, is a complete joke. This latest experience is the final nail in the coffin.

I always enjoy Okra when I eat in the restaurant. My complaint is about their takeaway delivery service. It took 1 hour 40 mins for our food to arrive. I'm now eating at 10pm when I should be going to bed. What was supposed to be treat turned into me having hunger pains and feeling faint. I will never order takeaway from here again.

Absolutely delicious food. The staff got us a table in the same evening on a Saturday (Xmas time) thanks!!! Very kind with us. Congrats to the chef. Comfy and charming place to have dinner. (Romantic 😌) * tikka masala amazing! Also the Nan bread.

- We spent 2 hours having dinner… which is okay, but food took lot of time until they served it. Also; they should put dishes when sharing a starter.

The food was terrible, service is extremely slow that is probably due to less number of staff per table available. Atmosphere is not that great as well.

Must try dishes: paneer saag, chickpea masala, lamb shank.
Very nice ambiance. Friendly staff.
Amazing food. I tried lamb shank, chicken badami, chana masala, Paneer saag, lamb chap, garlic coriander naan, pilao rice, tadka daal etc.
Had to request a little bit extra hot to satisfy Indian taste buds. It was still very mild/ towards the sweet side so ask for more chillies if you like.
The portions can be increased a bit (they are smaller as compared to other Indian restaurants).
