Fat Cake City The Buzz

My husband purchased 2 vetkoek burger meals with chips and 2 Pepsi drinks yesterday. The burger patty had worms in it, the chips had a very off putting smell, I spent the better part of the night throwing up as I had already taken a few bites before taking a closer look.

Great service and great food. Ordered a meal the other day and it was not great, The staff sorted everything out. I told them the story and they when above and beyond to making us happy!

Their quality has been getting worse and worse. Today it looked like they used the burnt scrapings from the bottom of the pan for filling. A torn up, dry and stale fat cake, with minimal filling - which tasted like burnt dogfood. Side note: I requested - and paid for - extra sauce, and got this pathetic dribble.
How is it acceptable to serve this to someone?!
I took 2 bites and threw it away. Really didn't want to get sick from this nonsense.

Worst service ever!! They changed the chicken in one of the meals that I usually order. I noted that it looks different and asked what changed about it. The woman at the till just told me that it changed. I asked what has changed about it and she said "it's different". I told her that I know it's different but what is different about it. She said "the meat"... We had this back and forth until she eventually told me to just not order. I had to mention that I want to talk to the owner before she eventually, after so much disrespect and attitude, told me that the chicken is a smaller andcheaper substitute for what they usually serve us but the price has not changed. The chicken that they used wasn't even my problem. If she hadn't answered me like I'm a child, I probably would have ordered anyway. She then told me that I have to wait for the owner(even though his car was parked outside) because he doesn't have a phone. So I waited and when I spoke to the owner, he just laughed it off and said he'd talk to her. Definitely did nothing about it. I'll never go back there again. I wish I could give zero stars.

Besides the fact that they have drastically reduced their portions, they now serve the most appalling chips I have ever come across. Twice now we have been served left over burnt pieces as part of our meal. The burnt chips even dominate the regular looking chips. I mean, if this is the kind of food we will continue to be served, let us know so we actually get a shop that wants to serve us proper food! We are not happy at all

We're ordered from Mr D, 4 chicken crunch burger, they served us raw chicken, when I contacted the manager, he had no idea on how to sort this asked me what should he do, when I requested he replaces them he requested that I pick the new burgers up from the store, why go to the expense of using Mr D kind of takes the convince out of the whole deal if I have to ride around to collect for mistakes that should never had happened in the first place

Not happy with the quality of service and food. I received chips fried in old oil and the polystyrene container was burned.😡

The food is really not up to standard.

They have also an item on the menu that they don’t know about🧐
