I am a Pratt Grad 1961. Working in the Pratt Library Engineering Department for 3-4 years. I loved being there and still think about it. I feel blessed that my Granddaughter is an Incoming freshman,
In the Architecture Degree Program.

Guard was very disrespectful. Gave me a two minute lecture and insults for not reading the sign (when I was in the middle of reading it after noticing). Other than that, the library is good.

Gorgeous if a bit cramped historic stacks are a delight: Tiffany glass walkways between multi-story antique shelving. Special focus on art, design and architecture books, with a great selection of hard-to-find art periodicals and zines. You'll need a Pratt Institute ID or guest pass to get in, though.

I went to Pratt before the internet, and wish that the library had been open all night, when I was there. It's one of the best resources in NYC for art students.

Really nice to see a place like that in a city. I would love to spend several hour here
