It's a gorgeous spot right by the river with shaded picnic tables. When you're done with your picnic, go for a stroll right next door at Dyke Marsh Nature Preserve.
Large area with lots of trees and parking. Rocky area along Potomac right on the rivers edge. Good view of National Harbor, MGM, and Wilson Bridge. Bathrooms adjacent. Mt. Vernon paved trail, Dyke Marsh, and Marina are close. Accessible parking, but picnic areas are over uneven ground. GET THERE EARLY to get a table. Run by National Park Service.
