Diamond Valley Clinic

I see Dr Jamie Mackay and I have found him to be a brilliant doctor, as do all my neighbours in Smith's Gully. His reputation has spread and is very well-deserved. Also all the other staff, reception, phlebotomist have all been courteous and professional.

Very professional and courteous. All staff...receptionists, practice nurse, and Dr Jamie Mackay. I transferred to this clinic about 18 months ago and so glad I did.

Totally Unethical
Last week my doctor charged me a full fee for a consultation where I was told nothing from my test results. She literally used the words, ‘I don’t know.’ What you may not know, is they do also conduct phone consults here, in which they bulk bill and do not charge a gap. Instead of calling to tell me to say they could not help, or know how to treat me further, like they had done previously, they proceeded with the appointment. Afterwards I challenged the Clinic on the charges and I was told by both the Practice Manager and the doctor, we will have to ‘agree to disagree’ and that it is all about ‘perception’ of value.

At the end of the day, this clinic forgets that they are a service provider. I pay a premium where applicable for extra care and expertise over a bulk billing practice, and yet the ‘perception’ they left me with, is they don’t care about their patients time or circumstance. They are there to get people in the door and charge those gaps. Also I was told the call for discussing my charge disputes will be bulk billed to the government. Thanks tax payers.

My experience at Diamond Valley Medical has, to date, been positive. The reception staff are welcoming and reassuring. My consultation with the GP was very through and I felt extremely comfortable addressing my health concerns. The team at Diamond Valley Medical are organised and prompt and I highly recommend this clinic with their experienced and highly knowledgeable GP's.

My friend has been going to this clinic for a long she had an appointment on Friday this clinic waited to tell her that the doctor is not going to see her till she got there. so we made and appointment for today 3pm so we got there quarter to 3 waiting waiting and waiting still no call I went to the desk and asked them what’s going on she said the doctor is running late fair enough can’t you pick up the phone to all appointment today and tell them the doctor is running late my friend has been struggling for weeks now and can’t find anyone in this practice who has empathy compassion she is dealing with metal issues and you just treat her like that you wouldn’t treat a person of colour like this but you treat my friend like this your are the worst clinic ever and you guys should be closed you don’t care at all I’m disappointed that there is a lack of empathy

I am happy with the service that they give me and I feel safe and comfortable with the doctor that I have. They really do care about the person that they see, so I encourage you to go to this medical practice.

Amazing service by everyone I met at this clinic - especially Dr John Mackay. I attended in a lot of pain with a suspected broken arm... the care and prompt attention I received from John, Deb and Simone was incredible. And John picked the exact type of fracture and the likely treatment involved long before an xray was taken... he knows his stuff! I could not recommend them highly enough. Thank you for the care and giggles... and the green stick!!!
