Best Medical clinics in Australia

Used the 4cyte pathology inside their premises and had my 6 repeat blood test referral held by them. Falsely stating that all the test need to be done there from now on. They close at 2pm, what a joke.

Dr Trevor Tingate is F- usless to put it nicely. Poor guy can't even smile. It's a roll of the dice there waiting. Hopefully you don't get him.

If I could give more stars I would! This medical centre is the only one who have GREAT customer service and really care about their patients. Absolute legends here!

I would say the reception service is pretty good, and is not like what other previous comments said. A kind and beautiful receptionist, Sky, just gave me a good service and helped me with my own requirements.

The best GP centre in the city that I have found. Friendly staff and efficient service. Have bulk bill appointments (just need to pay for the first appointment if you are new/haven't been there in a few years)

Super easy to get last minute or on the day appointments. If you’re getting blood work done the pathologist is right next door which is really convenient. Very quick and no nonsense :)

DO NOT COME HERE! worst doctors I’ve been too, absolute disgrace to charge 120 dollars and not help me or give me a refund. Should have read the reviews. Doctor was not friendly or helpful.

Receptionist, who was a female was extremely rude. Not ideal when you’re not feeling 100% well, hence why I booked an appointment. It was my first time attending the clinic today and I decided to walk out before seeing the GP. Won’t be returning!

I had an excellent experience at this clinic with Dr Frank. He is thorough, knowledgeable and provided very extensive and helpful information. The front desk staff were all helpful, friendly and efficient.

I hope the front desk staff who’s working in the most inside seat can improve her customer service skills. Because you are stand for Australia National Status. I feel so cold service when I suffered serious pain in my stomach and asking for toilet. When I said so many time “excuse me” to her, she pretended unable to hear me and I was like talking to the air.

My parents and me are first time to travel in Australia and visit Bondi Beach. Because of her, we feel Australian people could be that extremely cold. And I even think this is exactly treat to me differently and she is a racist to our Asian people.

In addition, the toilet should be fixed.

We are from WA and when in Sydney we use this centre since many years. Grateful for bulk billing. Doctors and receptionist are very good. I miss Dr. Balafas who is an excellent diagnostician. Very good, thank you. Gunther and Sue Jank, Perth

Dr Bushra is very rough when doing pap smear test. Was having discomfort for 3 days afterwards

Macquarie Street Health is a fantastic practice. It's run extremely efficiently. I've never found it difficult to get an appointment, and the secretaries are brilliant -- especially Pelen, the practice manager, who was really great in helping me get a prescription in time. Dr Stephanie Arasu is also absolutely amazing. I've come to her a few times with mental health issues, and she's made me feel very safe and supported. I genuinely couldn't have got through the first tricky few months in Sydney without Macquarie Health. Thank you, team ❤!!

Very bad customer service. I’ve been this clinic many times. The doctor never on time. Today I booked phone consultation. It’s already 1.5 hrs past my appointment time. They called me earlier this morning for fee charges but when I called back to check why the doctor hasn’t call me. Reception lady said”they need to do the consultation for face to face patient first, then the phone consultation!” It’s hilarious! Did I pay less than the face to face patient? If you can’t follow the time schedule then why you need me to choose the appointment time while booking? Then the receptionist told me they can’t find my doctor and she is not in her office. Always expensive surcharge. Dr Judy’s consultant charged me $300 with in 15mins.

Skye, Dr Jiang Li and the Doctors at MediCentral always go out their way to assist patients.

I generally have no issues with doctors other than the occasional dismissal when asking for referrals but when you pay for the consult you tend to be seen faster and “get what you pay for” basically.

They seem to have reduced their bulk billing “capacity” now. Went in the afternoon and was told first available doctor was not an option as they no longer do bulk billing at that time (2.30 pm) and that was due to the busy period they go private after they’ve reached their bulk billing capacity. This didn’t quite make sense as they couldn’t give me a hard figure on how many bulk billing patients was their maximum and it wasn’t overly busy either? Sounded a bit fishy but I was seen.

Shame the owners of the practice take advantage of patients this way. I know GPs are not adequately paid but patient health care should be the primary goal and not profits - many walked out. Business is business I suppose.

I’d like to say Thanks you for Dr.Myf for the lovely service and care with me today. She was really nice and for sure I will come back for another appointment with her. Also for the receptionist the asian I don’t know her name but she was very kind , I arrived after 5 pm and was already closed but she was very sweet trying to find a Dr. able to help me.

The doctor that took care of me had no empathy at all. I felt judged and he didn’t explained anything to me. They made me go three times for something they could’ve done in one appointment.

The receptionist's service and attitude is terrible and so is their Mask policy. I have booked a GP on apps and didn't see any reminder for wearing a mask. However, when I presented there, the receptionist told me to buy a mask from their shop even though I told them that I don't have any flu symptoms. It's not mandatory to wear a mask anymore so if that is your policy, just provide mask to the visitors which is a peanut cost compared to the fee your centre charged. Don't recommend this centre at all.

Given the possible vulnerable state of patients who go to a doctor, the least they deserve is to be welcomed and treated with empathy and be helped by the receptionists as well as the doctors. Well this is the worst medical practice I have encountered in my life! How are there such unhelpful human beings on the forefront of a large practice is beyond me. Please train them or let them go! They are heartless and need an injection of benevolence

Angela, the receptionist is incredible, she always goes above and beyond to cater for all my needs. She is always positive and displays a can do attitude , no ask is too big!! Going to the doctors is always a daunting experience for me but thanks to Angela and the team, I feel at ease knowing I’m being cared for in good hands.

I have seen Dr. Frank at this clinic and found him a very kind and compassionate person. All other staff including the nursing and front reception were very helpful.

Avoid at all costs. The staff at reception are incredibly rude and have 0 empathy. They could do with a lesson in manners and how to treat people nicely.

Dr Stuart Morris however is lovely and was very informative in my last appointment with him. It's a shame the staff at reception bring the place down.

Very happy with Dr Tan and rejuvenate, been a client/patient for eight years now getting wrinkle relaxers and fillers. Very clean and beautiful workspace, He is very professional and skilled in hanks to his extensive medical training. Would never go anywhere else. Just called to book an Appointment on the phone with this ladys that just told me off and told me that didn't have any appointment available today and said " We don't have bye..." and hang up the phone .
I couldn't believe the interaction...
I called right back after and ask why they don't give any other options, she ask me if I was already a Patient with them I said No and she told me " Then I cannot do anything.. Bye" and Hang out again.
I am just trying to book for a referal and didn't even have time to tell her that, that it was already a negative answer.
The Interraction was so rude and hanging out on People.. honestly..
I am working in Customer service in retail and This would be the perfect Exemple for the worst Interraction ever!!!

Fantastic caring medical team, Dr Kao really listens to your problems and gets to the core of the issues. Very professional team, also offers great advice.

This is a superb little skin and medical centre in the heart of Bondi Junction. Angela the main receptionist is fabulous beyond measure. Angela always goes out of her way to asisst in making my appointments seamless and nothing is to small for her to help with!! It truly is a pleasure to be greeted with warmth and kindness every time I visit.
Dr Greg Norris is a fantastic skin doctor and GP who I highly recommend.

Dr Piliotis has been my doctor for over 5 years now. I have to travel quite a distance to see him (we've moved), and do so as he is actually listens; is very thorough and gives very practical advise when needed. Highly recommended.

Dr Lovell is a star, one of the best GPs we have had. Super convenient practice for CBD workers. Highly recommend

After becoming a new patient and getting to know Dr Tian Zhuang, she has been one of the best most understanding doctors I’ve ever seen. She is open, honest and helpful.
I did have an issue with one of the receptionists (reading other reviews I believe others have too) but the other receptionists seem just as lovely and helpful as Dr Tian.

Do love the practice. It’s handy to me and handy to the pathology. Dr Lovell is very thorough so, as a result, often runs late.

They said to me: we called you yesterday to confirm your appointment and your partner picked up your phone...Well my phone was with me not with my partner (my partner is overseas) and I had received no phone calls from them. Caring doctor providing fantastic results

Go to see a skin problem. The doctor（capital H） just wants to quickly complete the medication and rest. Finally, go to another GP, and the doctor says the medication was prescribed incorrectly.

The best medical centre I have been to in the eastern suburbs. Dr Tatiana Blagova was very reassuring when diagnosing me and gave me great resources to get better. Would highly recommend anyone who is looking for a GP especially because they are the only medical centre that is bulk billed. The receptionist was very helpful and kind guiding me throughout my appointment. 5/5 🤍

The doctor himself is very pleasant and i had no issues with him whatsoever but never in my life have I experienced such bad customer service from the front desk. They are rude, they shout from one end of the room to the other about your personal medical details and when asked to come closer and talk privately I was told no and she just huffed and puffed with zero respect infront of all the other patients. It was very embarrassing. I've never left a doctors office so upset. These girls need to either get a new job or go for some intense customer service trainning. Very unprofessional and let's the whole practice down with their disgusing attitude!

Careless doctor. I had female problems and went to this clinic 3 times to find out what was going on. My symptoms got worse and I ended up going to another clinic to get treated properly.

Receptionist was lovely but we were waiting in the lounge for almost 50 minutes after scheduled appointment time. We even came early.

Hope it was an isolated incident, but will not be coming back ever.

When I arrived for my appointment the person at reception asked me (loudly and in front of other patients) if I was there for an abortion! The nurse had to Google “hives” and I had to explain it was a symptom of anaphylaxis. Surely this is basic knowledge, the lack of which could potentially be dangerous. Quite disorganized and unprofessional.

My back issues are always a lot better after seeing Khali.

JULY 2023 EDIT - DONT DO IT ! Keep away from the 'ANY DOCTORS' and seek out a GOOD DOCTOR . My recommendations ,Dr Stuart Morris , the two Aroney brothers ( the Aroneys will not take appointments though and it's random luck if you get to see them) and Dr Myfanwy (a competent caring female doctor ).I also recommend Dr Faye Sinn who has now relocated to Bondi Junction Medical and Dental Centre in Bronte Rd Bondi Junction ,another caring and competent female doctor
RE the 'any doctor ' I saw re review below ,I have since found out the script was way too high in strength that she gave me. I complained about her already in my JUNE EDIT before I knew this .This was a serious medical mistake which would have led to my skin being burnt off!!! There would have been dire consequences if it had not been for the diligence of the Pharmacist who phoned me concerned about the high strength . The ointment was supposed to be 0.10 percent in strength , she wrote it as 1 percent, 10 times stronger!! As I wrote previously my bad experience here with this particular doctor reminded me of why it's so important to seek out good doctors, and why we need to read reviews first , before we see any new doctor. It's the only way to protect ourselves.
The 5stars I originally gave are for Dr Stuart Morris, Dr Myfanwy, Dr Faye Sinn and the Aroney brothers It will remain for these good doctors.
The 'any doctor 'as I complained about in June made it obvious already that she had ZERO care and look what happened, it translated into medical negligence.She has been reported to the Health Care Complaints Commission .Honestly she should not be a doctor.

I've been a patient of the 7day Medical Centre Bondi Junction for 10plus years and stick with good doctors once I find them however today the doctors I would normally see were away , so not knowing anyone else I mistakenly agreed to see
'any Dr'. Don't do it! The Dr I saw today was dismissive, uninterested and unprofessional. Absolutely no joy or interest for her job whatsoever , that was obvious. Her manner was such that you really felt like you were a big nuisance to even be there?? It was an unsettling experience and not the way you should feel after seeing a medical professional.
-Ladies if you need to see a female doctor for something 'female' I highly recommend Dr Myfanwy( who works Monday, Wednesday and Friday, but please confirm times with reception). Dr Faye Sinn has left unfortunately
If Dr Myfanwy is not available, find out the names of the available doctors that are on and please check their reviews first before you see them. Do not agree to 'any doctor'.like I did today .
I had forgotten how bad it was . The general standard is shocking, Doctors with absolutely no pride in their work or care for your health. I stick to the same doctors for years once I find someone good, and today was a rude awakening reminding me of past times when I had had more bad experiences than good with random doctors.
-The male doctors I recommend are , Dr Stuart Morris(Mon - Friday) and the Aroney Brothers . The Aroney Brothers though don't take appointments, however Dr Stuart Morris and Dr Myfanwy (female) do take appointments.

Receptionist was incredibly rude for no reason at all. This was just now. All I did was just ask her kindly if this was the correct address for the doctors.

I would hate it if other real patients were to ever be served by her.

I just started going to this doctor because I’m pregnant and I told her I was, I have already had ultrasounds and been given a due date and everything. She didn’t want to listen to me when speaking and made me do more blood tests and urine samples to confirm my pregnancy when this was done the day before at Belmont hospital. She wouldn’t give me my results over the phone I had to make an appointment when I already knew I was pregnant. I have to pay $90 everytime I go for only a 5minute consult. I’ve now done 3 urine samples and have confirmed iam pregnant but also have a uti. She will not give me antibiotics to treat my infection and I just went back yesterday and paid $90 for a 4 minute consult for her to ask me to do another sample. How many samples that confirm uti need to be done before she actually gives me something to treat it? I feel my money and time has been wasted and my concerns have not been met . Disgusting practice. Her name is dr tiarn

Honestly, Dr. Zhuang lacked too many times of interest towards me and my problems. Both times I went there, I was not feeling like taken in consideration. The first time I got charged as long consultation only cause I asked a prescription for my pill and had a skin issue, total time spent in her office : 6 minutes.
The last time I went there she didn't even checked on me properly , paying no attention on my symptoms, didn't even check on my lungs even if I said I had cough and chest pain and then prescribed an antibiotic and rushed me away. Then she charged me money for a total of 5 minutes saying I would need to see maybe a specialist but did not give me a referral. Then the receptionist answered me that I need to pay and come again if I want the referral. I mean, really ? I am still sick so my issues are not sorted but for sure, won't be coming back to that place. It's a shame cause she is a very friendly person tho.

Extremely disappointed with Dr Zhuang and the “service” she provides.
Went there to confirm a pregnancy, I had done the pathology to test for it and never received a phone call from the dr or practice. I called and asked why I hadn’t been contacted they said they hadn’t received the results but I had received a copy to my home address. So I made another appointment to discuss using the results I had been given and Dr Zhuang said she had the results sent to her electronically, but upon reading the results she said they hadn’t tested for the HCG level- which confirms pregnancy- so she obviously didn’t order that in the first place.
So then she ordered an ultrasound, and gave me a referral.
I went to my ultrasound appointment and finally got the confirmation of pregnancy when we saw our beautiful bubba on the screen.

No phone call from Dr Zhuang days following our scan.

One week after our scan we unfortunately miscarried, which was devastating and extremely hard on us.

Still, no phone call from Dr Zhuang.

3 weeks on since the miscarriage, I STILL have not had ONE phone call to say anything about the initial ultrasound nor follow up about antenatal care.
Just the worst Dr I have ever come across and the lack of communication is a disgrace.
Never going back. Horrible

Care and treatment is ok, but you can never get an appointment here. Days later is never good enough when you are sick or injured. I was a patient of the Doctor here before Star took over, since then it is impossible to get a same or next day appointment. Most of the doctors don't work more than 2 days a week so good luck even having continuity with your doctor. Look elsewhere and save yourself time.

Excellent staff. Very friendly. Dr Wong is amazing. He gave me practical, real world advice. I highly recommend this medical centre. I phoned to make a booking, and found myself speaking to the doctor within 20 minutes. Very clean and comfortable offices. Handy location. Located opposite NSW Parliament House. Close to all public transport. Paid parking is available in nearby office buildings and at The Domain.

The worst doctor I have ever seen. Booked a full appointment to show my evidence for NDIS. "Doctor" Zhang wasn't bothered didn't show the slightest interest, didn't look at any of the documents, disgreed with me about how my Asperges affected my life and rushed though the whole thing. Utter lack of care shown. The resulting form was so useless I had to see another GP. I will never see Dr Zhang again and recommend no one else does either.

Dr Tian Zhang was very unhelpful to both myself today, and to also another family member. The consult was very quick, expensive, and no care for me. I requested a particular brand of contraceptive pill, after doing hours of research myself. Tian didn't even question, just printed out the script. The thing was, it was for a different brand! I asked for Yaz, and she gave me Yasmin. Once I realised this, I returned to see her, and in the middle of the waiting room, she argued that she did give me what I asked for. Thankfully the chemist amended the prescription without a fuss.

I called to make an Appointment as per Dr Esra's request. I was on the waiting line for 10 minutes. and then the receptionists pick up and just hang up on me.

Shame on you dr Simon Kerr.
I'm pregnant and he is one of the ONLY GP shared care for pregnant women.

I called up and receptionist told me he was working all day. I came in around 4pm and he refused to take me in. Coz he wanted to finished up for the day.

I came back on the very next day at 2pm. And guess what? he went home early again.

Wow. I traveled all the way here to see him. And he just disappears whenever he feels.

I hope this is passed into him. Shame on you for not honoring the times you work.

Old review - April/May 2021

I highly recommend going here for bulk billing and bulk bill GP.

The receptionist informed me that it will be up to an hour wait. Which I was totally fine with.

I like this place coz its walk in. And no appointment.
So I'm totally happy to wait.

I was prepared with my laptop and worked on stuff. Which is awesome for passing time.

I went on a Sunday.

And I got called out after say 40mins.

Awesome doctor too. So helpful.

I do NOT recommend going here due to the extensive wait time, given we arrived early to our scheduled appointment time.

This place was disappointing and also not the friendliest receptionists x2.

Why make patients call up and book in a time, when the Doctors are not going to honour that scheduled time?

This place should only do walk ins if they will make patients wait over an hour... right?

(Note: I'm happy to wait approx 15 mins from a scheduled time, but nearly 1 hour. That's wrong.)

I understand that a session can go overtime, and that is why they should change their processes, systems, operations.

Management needs to provide a better customer experience.

The receptionists should also avoid booking patients back-to-back, and spread it out.
And allow doctors to properly examine and spend their time with patients during sessions.

The receptionists also have lack of professionalism.
1) one of them answered the phone and you can tell it was a friend of hers. And she was casually swearing and joking.
2) a patient told her she as work and she said the list of people in front of her. But when the dr came out, the receptionist lady put her in front of us and she got called.. She favored a patient over us. Not happy about the receptionists at all.

This practice was listed on Google Ads. And I understand that it is competitive in Bondi Junction, but dont spend money on PPC (pay-per-click) ads to cover up all the negative reviews.

Another note, whoever's is responsible for replying to the negative google reviews, claiming that the patient who wrote the review is incorrect or mistaken for a different practice, honestly... that is the wrong way to handle negative reviews.

Ok I'm done giving business advice to this place.

I hope they show and forward my review to the business manager or director.

Saw Dr Surekha Desai in 2018. Needed a new letter of referral copied for a specialist which takes 5 mins at my other GPs. Billable Appointment time got dragged out for an hour by her being incredibly slow. Note, there was nothing done during the appointment other than the referral writing and printing. I didn't receive any real analysis or diagnosis, even with prompting.
She otherwise seemed like a nice person but was not impressed and won't be returning.

Edit: I did have to return, as her referrals were all booked solid indefinitely and not taking new patients. Please, call her referrals before you leave, so you don't get trapped here again.

I have been coming to Star Medical for over 3 years now. I've received the best treatment that I could wish for from the Doctors and the staff. Every one there knows who I am and they are so helpful and friendly to me. I have a heart disease and they look after me very well. I'm sent SMS reminders when I need a check up, which is very handy. I have no complaints about their service in the time that I've been going there. I will continue to keep going there as I'm very satisfied with this practice.

Went in with pneumonia. The doctor told me there was nothing wrong with me. I was rasping as I breathed. I had a fever. I asked him to listen to my breathing because I could hear crackling with each breath. Not only did he not help me, he told me there was no noises when I was breathing and that I was fine. He was dismissive and rude. I went to my usual doctor after work and was diagnosed immediately with pnenumonia. Home for a week on antibiotics. Would NOT recommend.

This is a money making machine. It’s cash over customer service full stop.
I went to see a doc to get blood test done. The visit took 5 mins and I had the lab form.
Then organised a follow up visit to collect the results.

During my second visit not all results were ready so agreed with the doc that I will get a call.

Didn’t get the call so emailed the clinic that I haven’t got the call and this is my mobile number. Got a reply saying that I must see the doc. I got worried and went to see the doc (visit #3). Doc said there was no need to come in and that all results are normal. HOWEVER due to admin error, one test wasn’t done.

That was OK by me, lab will do the test and doc will give me a call in the next two days & advise the results. No need for me to visit again.

No call after 2 days so I sent an email to the clinic asking to remind the doc to give me a call. I got an email back saying I have to come in. I replied saying just remind the doc that I’m waiting for the agreed call. Clinic replies me back that WHY doctor needs to call me.

Luckily in the meantime the doc remembered to give me a call and I replied to the clinic receptionist that it’s all sorted now - good bye. Even still the receptionist sent me an email saying I must come in.

I do understand that the cash only moves if there is an appointment but I’m not going to accept that a simple blood test requires four visits and that there are money hungry hawkers collecting cash in any opportunity. Even when the lab admin error is caused by the service provider, not the patient.

I have no issues with the doctors or lab staff. It’s just the admin people who are amazingly painful and have lost touch to the real world and customer service.

Dr Tan, Fantastic and honest, won't let you spend money on unnecessary treatments. Loyal client for 10 years.

Kate Murphy is an incredible practitioner. I went to her with standard neck pain and had several sessions before asking her about a dodgy shoulder I'd suffered with for literally years after popping a muscle badly in a commando class. I'd given up on the shoulder because I thought it needed surgery at the time but wasn't able to do it because I was travelling for work. Kate had a look at it and poked around for a couple of minutes. I thought she was just checking but the next day it was about 80% better. The following treatment she had another go and now it's like nothing ever happened. I can't believe I suffered in agony for four years and she sorted it out in ten minutes over two treatments! Mind blown! She also did wonders for my chronic neck issues.

The team at Bayside have been brilliant, I have been visiting the clinic for a number of years now. Khali and Brian have been my go to team. They spend the time to look below the surface and diagnose the real issues NOT simply treat the symptoms. Cannot recommend them highly enough, you will be in the hands of professionals with them.

Dr Khali is the actual best.
