My recent experience at Melbourne Airport was notably smooth and efficient. Landing was seamless, and I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly I retrieved my luggage. Meeting my Lyft driver was also a breeze, adding to the overall positive experience.

The airport itself was smaller than I anticipated, but that didn't detract from its functionality. However, I must note the lack of dining options, something travelers might want to consider if they plan to spend some time there.

Despite this minor inconvenience, the airport's efficiency and ease of navigation earn it a well-deserved 5-star rating. It may not have all the bells and whistles of larger airports, but it delivers where it matters most, making for a stress-free travel experience.

Much smaller than MCO however a more cosy antomosphere and experience to be had. TUI ground staff at the airport were so friendly and helpful 🌟 Lugguage is collected prior to immigration which isn't the norm compared to other airports so keep that in mind. It took around 1hr & 10mins to reach our hotel on International Drive and cost $98 which I think converted was around £84. I would definitely fly here again on the Dreamliner jet was overall a great experience 🌟🌟🌟🌟

So much smaller and more quaint than Orlando’s main airport but in a good way. When you arrived, baggie claim actually comes before customs check you in so just be aware for that, you’ll be lugging your bags through customs but on the return, the smaller airport works very well. The staff are friendly and courteous, there’s just a small shop, small duty free and small sandwich counter, and a handful of gates after baggage check, but all in all experience in the airport was good.

I can only echo previous 5 star reviews, this is a very well organised, friendly and efficient airport. By far the most pleasant experience that I have had at an airport.
The Alamo car hire desk on arrival was chaotic but the returns process was easy and the whole check-in, security and premium lounge process was most relaxing. We have previously flown into/out of both Orlando International & Sanford and whilst no real issues with either of them, this was by far the best.
Well played TUI at choosing this airport!

What a great fast and efficient airport! Small and very friendly! If you don’t want to deal with all the wait time and huge crowds this is the way to go! It’s also international!! Best airport I’ve ever used!

If flying from the UK you may be a little worried at the distance Melbourne Orlando is from the tourism in Orlando.

Believe me, the journey from plane to kerb was quick and easy. I suspect as many Brits are flying exclusively with TUI that the experience for TUI passengers must be this way

Airport is small, few TUI flights and a few local flights. Huge investment to make travelling through the airport easy has paid off

On arrival took about 20 mins from when they finally got the airbridge to work to getting on the coach. Staff universally friendly even TSA.

On departure, TUI gave us 4 hours here. Check in was a few steps from kerb side with plenty of desks. TSA was efficient and as much of a pleasent experience airport security could be. One shop, one duty free and a couple of eating places. Prices are reasonable for an airport but not a bargain. WiFi was hit n miss, which appears a constant with the airport wifi and loads of charging points usb and us plugs, are available to get your devices to 100%

Again only let down was the mildy confusing boarding process, a 30 min delay (although both passengers and plane were on the ground for many hours) and crew frantically handing out water and blankets pre departure

Given the reality TUI is there number 1 customer, unclear why there should be a delayed departure but hey, I guess the ground handlers need to learn from the airport management.

Mild irritations and most certainly an easier and more pleasant experience than flying from it's major international neighbour.

So don't be worried. The experience of Melbourne Orlando will more than make up for the distance from the theme parks

Excellent airport! Modern, super clean, and not crowded. There are restaurants and shops, and plenty of clean, spacious restrooms. Staff is incredibly friendly and hardworking.
