Great secluded car park - a hedge separates the cars from the main road which reduces the noise and makes the area feel safer and more protected.

A bit of a grubby layby (I wish people would take their litter home) but space for quite a few cars, providing good access to walks along Stanage Edge to the south, and Derwent Edge to the north. Free parking and did not seem mega busy even on a Saturday.

This is a spot of natural beauty and is stunning.
This place you can hike all day, but you can stop and take in the 360 panoramic views that will leave you breathless.
I went and had an amazing day.
I fully endorse this trip for able-bodied walkers.
Children aged over 10 should be able to walk the paths without too much effort.
Dogs will love this open expansion, but keep in mind there are sheep roaming the valleys, so maybe a leash would be a good idea.
Remember, this is free and cost nothing, but you will have an amazing time.
There is free parking on the sides off the main roads.
The cafe and toilet are about 5 miles from this particular location, and you should ve mindful of that.
I recommend taking your own drinks and food and stopping anywhere, and doing alfresco is all good 👍

Great parking just £3 all day but no overnight parking. Great views and great walks . Need to be quick as the carpark fills up fast. Toilets and running water there too
