With almost no security, there's a good chance you'll be harassed and bullied by a group of men at certain times of the day. Especially if you're a flamboyant male. It's a shame. Expect that, it's a nice train station overall

This is a fantastic public building with dozens of train platforms but also shops, restaurants and coffee shops.

The trains from here go all across Switzerland but also to several neighboring countries.

The staff at the ticketing booths is super friendly and helpful.

The mall in the lower levels is an amazing place for food, groceries, coffee and other services.

Zurich haupt bahnof (central station) is one of the largest station I visited in Europe. Shopping options are multiple. Also, there is facility of locker in case you wish to visit the city while in transit. Connectivity is very good with major cities.

A huge airport with lots of shopping and food options outside before departure. You can check in your luggage and go to the other terminal if you have plenty of time to spare, lots of shops to shop around with a huge food court. However when we were there, the KFC in the food court was not open, most of the rest are.

There are lesser shops after departure, and they still sell the toberone with Matterhorn at the departure hall, albeit late since we were leaving Zurich.

Nice modern train station with the second or third most number of train arrival and departures in the world. The building is very airy so you don't get the stale air feel of the typical train station. The only reason I'm not giving this five stars is that it's incredibly difficult to find any help, especially if you're not able to read German or French.

Passed through Zürich HB several times during a visit to Switzerland in April 2023. Huge, busy transport hub with luggage lockers and a large underground shopping mall called ShopVille.

Sometimes there are events on the station's main level. Grabbed some tasty soup dumplings from a street food festival at station while traveling. Although it is a large station, it is fairly easy to navigate.

Helpful and friendly staff at the Zürich tourist information center.
