Great place to meet friends for drinks and food, in the middle of gay village so convenient if you off clubbing later. Atmosphere is really good and the staff are super helpful and attentive, especially if you get there before the evening rush starts.

Fine trendy bar. Good decor, plenty of seats and reasonable prices for the area. Staff seemed lovely too. Would go again.

Haven't eaten here for a while. We used to love the food but were rather disappointed this time. The loaded fries were hardly loaded at all, and the pizza (the main thing we went for) was like cardboard - definitely just a frozen pizza. We left more than half of it.
We love the Loft, just a shame about the food.

Great place for a night out in the heart of Birmingham's gay village. Drinks are delicious and the staff are super friendly. Never had any trouble at the Loft since moving to Birmingham over a year ago

Good environment with music at a level you can usually talk over with friends. Service is a bit hit and miss with some days frustratingly slow when they’re on table service. However, had a great Sunday roast the other day and staff are almost always pleasant and polite. Generally find it easier to socialise with friends here before heading to the high volume music nightlife elsewhere in the village. Noisier when cabaret is on and it gets piped through to the garden so couldn’t get away from it a few weeks back so we left. Up the service levels and keep a quieter space away from the stage and I’d add a fifth star!

It’s a real shame about The Loft, I’ve tried to be patient for the sake of it being great when it’s open but it rarely is and even then it’s a coin-toss wether they’re serving food or not.

It’s consistently not open the listed opening hours with no social media post or offered explanation previous to or during the irregularity.

When you get lucky and it is actually open there’s a very fair chance the kitchen isn’t open the listed hours that food is served, which is a shame because the food on offer is great value for money and some of the best loaded fries in the city.

I’ve been a total of 10 times now and been disappointed, none of these have been due to the staff, they have all been friendly and as helpful as they could be given the circumstance.

If this business could develop consistency I’m sure I would visit weekly but with the current form I’ll continue to steer clear.

As a newbie to Birmingham we found here with good reviews and followed the signage saying table service only (it's not) after being sat 10 minutes I was going to ask for a menu at the bar to find them all there.

We ordered food and drink and the drinks came quick but my order - (the fish) was extremely over seasoned and suffering with an eating disorder and allergies meant I wasn't aware and couldn't eat any of it but it was also dripping with oil

My partner finished their food and we waited thinking someone may come and ask how the food was but nobody came and I wanted to wait but my partner wanted to leave it.... £12 to effectively only eat 10 chips was a bit gutting honestly
