We ordered the Sirloin Steak cooked to our preference (Medium Rare). There were no over powering sauces or additives to the steak which I appreciated. Though you can order extra sauces.
The truffle fries was amazing and the mac and cheese was creamy with very nice panko bread crumbs on top (could have done with a strong cheddar or a fried stringy cheese for that extra oomph. But overall it was amazing.
Sadden that the restaurant is now just a kitchen and quite hard to find at first. But it was a nice adventure. The service was great and the chef took their time to discuss the food and also delivered the food to us outside in The Oval (an open space area, that must be nice during a busy day)
Would definitely recommend and I definitely would check out their other offerings on the menu.

We ordered via Uber came fast enough however I took a bite into my chicken wrap to then notice 2 hairs inside, after that I opened up the wrap to find another couple of hairs (they looked like eyelash or eyebrow hair 😬) so I decided to check my partners food and found a long hair tucked around the pizza. I will not be ordering again from here.
I visited the burger place recently, and it was a disappointing experience. The burgers were horrible and the meat smelled really bad and was dry, lacking any juiciness or flavor. The service was slow and the staff seemed uninterested in helping customers. The atmosphere was bland and uninviting, making it an overall unpleasant dining environment. Great place to meet friends for drinks and food, in the middle of gay village so convenient if you off clubbing later. Atmosphere is really good and the staff are super helpful and attentive, especially if you get there before the evening rush starts.

They have an amazing deal going on, offering half peri peri chicken, rice, chips and fries for 7£. This deal is a steal. The chicken is tasteful and the rice are cooked to perfection. Definitely recommended.
I had the best chicken burger I have ever tasted. I have never had the thigh meat on a chicken burger before. Wow it was delicious. The crumb coating was the crispiest and tastiest I have ever had and the portion size was large, even though I ordered a single. Absolutely delicious, all of it, the bun included and the slices of gherkin were thick and juicy, generous! Thank You Burger Theory, you know what you are doing! My husband had the beef and was equally impressed.

I drove quite a distance to eat at this restaurant. Their pizza is amazing, their burgers are amazing, their fries are amazing. Everything I've tried here is cooked to perfection. The customer service is second to none. I would definitely recommend.

Was here in 2018, it had just opened. Staff were being trained. There were a few mix-ups with orders but the burgers were delicious. Back again in 2023 and the food is even better, tastes great. Staff very friendly and helpful. There is gluten free burgers and sides. Only one small complaint, music is a bit loud for my liking.
Good atmosphere - the food here is pretty good and so is the shisha. Music isn't too loud so you can actually have a conversation. The staff are super friendly and helpful.

Me and a couple of mates visited here yesterday for the first time and ordered double chicken burgers half spicy and couldn't believe how fresh and nice the food tasted. We all agreed it was the best chicken burger we have had in a long time, and highly rate the food. Will definitely be returning!
Had a black and blue burger and can honestly say that burger is probably the best around. Each ingredient you can taste and none of the elements are overpowered by any one flavour. Really was delicious

I ended up having the Moor burger and I was so happy with the choice. I usually don't go for beef burgers and prefer chicken but this really hit the spot. So far my favourite beef burger I've tried.

Really good chicken burger! I had the cheeky clucker which had a chipotle maple sauce over deep fried chicken, it was delicious but quite spicy. The chicken was really crispy and succulent and the bun was a nice brioche type bun that worked really well.
I also had the truffle fries which were a special. These were a bit overpriced in my opinion and mostly tasted of Parmesan but still very tasty.

Ordered a simple two kinds of dirty fries, a burger and a dip. Driver was great and food was still warm when it arrived. The pot of dip I paid extra for wasn't delivered, and my friend ordered "cheesy jalapeño fries" which were fries with fried jalapeños, no cheese whatsoever 🫥 had to make a cheese sauce at home so she could try and eat them. Please never ever order from here.

Now, if you feel that you don't want to wait then there are plenty of other eateries on the Road. It was busy tonight which gave me a chance to watch his people skills. Tbh he was great with customers who he knew and those who he didn't know. Sure, if you go bouncing in with an attitude he doesn't look like the kind of character who will take that kind of disrespect. But then would you if you were in his place? Be honest. So yeah. Some of the reviews on here have been quite personal towards the manager. If you have a problem with the food, which myself and lots of others don't, then it's you right to complain. But forget the character assassination as I was in there a while tonight and the other night and didn't see that. Anyway I just wanted to add that. I ordered kebab , lamb, decent size serving, taste was not as great as Iranian Chilo Kebab has, plus they don't serve it with rice, inside they have some noisy atmosphere, outside setting was available though with lot of shisha smokers ( troublesome) for non smokers and having smoke allergy, was fair but not that great.. service was excellent, prices were reasonable,

Haven't eaten here for a while. We used to love the food but were rather disappointed this time. The loaded fries were hardly loaded at all, and the pizza (the main thing we went for) was like cardboard - definitely just a frozen pizza. We left more than half of it.

I’ve ordered food on the website the money was deducted from my account,and the food was one minute away, according to the delivery app. The food never arrived after 2 hours of waiting, the shop was closed. I contacted the manager the next day to discuss the matter; he was extremely rude and had awful customer service; he never apologised and simply stated that there was a technical issue and that the business was closed. I still haven’t received my refund two weeks later.

The honest beef burger was tasty. It will be better if the size can be bigger. Chips was fantastic and it is the same level as five guys. The atmosphere was good but the service is a little bit slow. Overall it is a good restaurant and worth to try!
Worth the journey from South London, purely based on the great value for money, amazing hospitality and top quality shisha. I really enjoyed the music too, learning some of the classic Persian pop songs.

Great place, atmosphere, food and hospitality, Katey attentive with out pestering, polite , knowledgeable of business. Food excellent burger cooked perfect ,medium or pink as asked, the fries crisp with the right amount of seasoning, shame Guinness was a surger can but plenty of other options. Definitely will return next time in Bristol, recommend this to dine for other customers, nice to come across a restaurant that cares.
Good environment with music at a level you can usually talk over with friends. Service is a bit hit and miss with some days frustratingly slow when they’re on table service. However, had a great Sunday roast the other day and staff are almost always pleasant and polite. Generally find it easier to socialise with friends here before heading to the high volume music nightlife elsewhere in the village. Noisier when cabaret is on and it gets piped through to the garden so couldn’t get away from it a few weeks back so we left. Up the service levels and keep a quieter space away from the stage and I’d add a fifth star!
Italian Street food...More like Italian hard to beat food! My mate recommend this to me, and we went to grab a burger on Wednesday evening. Open till 8 by the way. Tricking your taste buds in to thinking you're in a stall in Sicily. Home made burgers and buns, fries on top, and at an incredibly reasonable price. Service was great too, the guy was a legend. I would recommend.
It’s a real shame about The Loft, I’ve tried to be patient for the sake of it being great when it’s open but it rarely is and even then it’s a coin-toss wether they’re serving food or not.

Wow, what a find! Probably late to the party here but this place was awesome. The staff were really friendly, service was quick and the food was incredible. The Burger was probably the best I have had in Bristol (and ive livered there and thereabouts for 19 years now). The chips were awesome and the sauces and Gravy - wow! I had the Bristol (when in Rome) and will not hesitate to go back again next time im in Corn Street (a favourite place for me in the City). Honestly (pardon the pun) I loved this place.
Quick stop here before travelling back home. We hadn’t booked but luckily there was room for us. Service was great, friendly staff, efficient and quick with drinks. Food was nice and hot delicious and served quick. Buttermilk chicken burger with extras I would recommend👌🏾 I would eat here again.

We visited Burger Theory on a Saturday night. We were 7 people.
The staff were extremely kind and served our table with a smile. I can also say we had a nice table with a long sofa.
All the food arrived with no mistakes and it tasted amazing. The hairy beast burger was definitely delicious.
It’s definitely pricy, so the following things for the price you pay definitely need improvement;
- The wings, for almost £7 were the smallest 6 wings I ever had in a restaurant of this type. If they didn’t taste nice I would be sending them back but honestly either put more for the customer, or ask your provider for larger sized wings.
-Dirty Fires, A lot of restaurants offer these option now. I definitely had dirtier and nicer fries elsewhere. And again, for £7.50 the fries should have been miles better (see photo attached).
-Toilets, honestly the men’s toilets are ready to simply fall on the ground floor. The tiles are completely broken, making you feel the floor is going to drop the second you stand on them. The “walls” were completely destroyed and had a lot of writings on them with markers. This place is a proper restaurant downstairs, I find it a joke that they are okay with the state their restrooms are!

Really value for money, nice quality and good friendly staff! 9/10 times we get pizza or the chicken burger, and every time does not disappoint. Highly recommended!

We had an 8pm reservation and arrived a couple of minutes beforehand. Despite being able to find the reservation in the system, there was no table for us until 8.20pm. In the meantime, another party with a later reservation came in and was seated. I appreciate that their party was larger and was therefore given the larger table that became available first, but still think it reflects poorly on the restaurant that they weren’t organised for a booking. The staff were polite and briefly apologetic but didn’t seem too bothered by their error.
The food itself was good. We had tempura prawns to start, which came with a delicious dipping sauce. I then had a fillet steak for my main course. I ordered rare but what I received was more akin to medium rare and even medium in parts. Only the very middle was rare. This might be due to the ‘tall’ nature of the cut (see pictures). The medium rare ribeye was good.
The sides were huge. We barely finished the truffle chips between us. The mac ‘n’ cheese was OK – I would have preferred it without the crumb topping as in my opinion it has no place in the dish. It was described on the menu as having this though, so I knew what I was getting myself into.
The service was mostly good, though there was one member of the wait staff who seemed a bit out of their depth. They were very young and I think perhaps new. Luckily it was very quiet (I think we were the last table seated that evening, so by the time we were onto our mains, the place was dead) so this wasn’t much of a problem.
There is just one toilet, an accessible bathroom and baby change combo. I was disappointed to see the emergency pull cord tied up out of reach, rendering the bathroom unsuitable for some disabled customers. The bathroom in general was not overly clean and in need of refurbishment.

Yum yum!!! My nose lead me to this stall within Norwich market. Me and my husband asked for a chicken burger with their special sauce and they were amazing and actually cut it in half and wrapped each bit so we could have one each! They did not charge us extra for this and I was very appreciative as my husband is a big biter! 🤣 While our food cooked one of the cheifs had a good chat with us making us feel welcome to the area as we were not locals, telling us about the market itself. We have a dog and they were amazing with her too, some people are not too keen as she is a German Shepherd and large, but it didn't bother these amazing people. On to the important part... The burger was absolutely amazing! They make the rolls themselves too every morning! Nice touch. They even put chips in it! I really regret asking for one cut in half! I could have easily eaten a whole one!!! They also do pizza and calzone, next thing I will be trying on my next visit! Thanks guys!!! Xx
Exceptional burgers! I am not even a fan of burgers but they made me one! Tried the Jamaican with sweet potato fries - I definitely recommend you visit this place - the atmosphere is nice, the staff is attentive, service is quick. No need for reservation in advance
Had a Sunday roast there today , if my only 2 complaint’s are would of been better served in a large plate not a big bowl and way too much food. Other than that bloody amazing, the beef was cooked perfectly, the veggies were tasty, the potatoes were crispy, the gravy had to be the best I’ve ever had (don’t tell the wife) & the Yorkshire puddings was massive.

I have visited this restaurant several times and the food is always lovely. Good chef, friendly staff who are attentive but not intrusive. Well priced with a nice selection of cocktails. I had pulled lamb burger on a bed of beets with salad instead of a bun My daughter had lamb chops surrounded with mushrooms on a bed of leaves. Our sides were truffle chips and macaroni cheese. Delicious. Well worth a visit. Seating in or out. Will visit again.

Wow just wow, what can I say. This has to be one of the top 2 burger joints in Bristol. Me and my friends were treated to an absolute beast of a burger. It tasted fantastic, the price was great and the atmosphere was perfect. The staff on duty were helpful and it made the whole experience really nice. I will be back here pretty soon as I want to try the rest of the menu.

Had the Flamin' Hot Clucker while my husband ordered the Sneaky Clucker, with aside of Garlic Butter Fries, and our verdict? DELICIOUS! I would have thought it was crispy battered chicken if I didn't know it was a vegan burger. The jalapenos gave the whole thing a wonderfully pleasant zing. Although the fries were a bit soggy for my taste, I still liked the buttery garlicky goodness and the sprinkling of green onions. Overall, it was very tasty, filling, and very satisfying.

Proper authentic pizza. All the food was v fresh and tasty. Side dishes were the samw great quality. Also good burgers. Doesnt feel like your standard fast food fare 👌👌
Ordered the Jammy Dodger churros as it sounded different and interesting. Had initially wanted the mini Dutch pancakes but they didn’t have any sadly. Super friendly and quick service. Freshly made churros topped with raspberry sauce, white chocolate and Jammy Dodgers: what’s not to like? Will be going back and trying lots more from their menu. Plenty of seating and clean.

This place offers many things, but the main problem is that there is no stuff to produce those goods. And the pizza 1/4 was good, the first time I brought from here it was good, but then they messed up with the ingredients and it wasn’t decent. Recommend this only in case of emergency.
Honestly probably one of the best take outs I have had for months, food arrived early. Ordered quiet alot of different things and not a bad lot in the bunch, I will say if you like sweet potato fries then get those over the chips. And the garlic bread need a touch more garlic for my liking but everyone is different... But the chicken strips and gravey are probably one of the best I have had... Would definitely recommend just would advise to order early if it's weekend x
A hidden gem in the Norwich market. Thought of trying the chicken burger there and oh boy, it was so damn delicious. A very simple preparation, perfectly grilled chicken breast, lettuce, onions, and chips as well for just £4. Absolutely blew my mind, regretted for not trying their food earlier. If you have a hankering for Italian food, pizza or even the burger, please do give this place a chance.

Today (my first of hopefully many visits), I had the beed burger with fries. I know that doesn't too italian, but I made a good choice, so give me a break... The bread, topped with sesame seeds and poppy seeds, had been baked not half an hour before I ate it, and the flavour of the whole burger was special. Fresh onions, fresh tomato, fresh lettuce, and the patty itself, in my opinion, was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The fries were also perfect. I'm glad I had the whole thing without sauce, because adding anything to this meal would have been sacrilege.
I'm also aware that they make their own pizza dough and sauce and cook everything to order. Go. You won't regret it.

Was the worst takeaway. Pre ordered for 3pm didn’t turn up had to ring them and not even done it said be 10 minutes. Turned up 3:45pm our pizzas was cold chips were like they had be reheated and was cold and crusty and was missing chicken wings.
Popped in for a drink. Not bad looking place. Staff were friendly. Plenty of seating inside and out. Remember to check in at the front entrance.

You can scan the menu to order but you need to enter your card on the website to pay- as opposed to Apple/Android pay. As I didn’t carry a card anymore, I just paid the staff with their PDQ machine. Prices are city centre prices. The menu looked really good, which I might try next time.

Update July 2022. Having used these guys a few times a pattern has been firmly established. These guys are good for desserts, but nothing else. Take tonight for example. Ordered a pulled chicken philly. Description says peppers and onions - but there were none on the philly. Never again. One star lost.

The food on the whole is decent. The problem is in the service. Despite ringing and advising a pretty rude chap "no mushrooms on pizza" - 45 minutes later this is exactly what we did get. Furthermore, our order asked for doughnuts ... we got sent a waffle. However, credit to the girl on the phone who saved the day by immediately acknowledging the issue and promised to resend the order - and promised some extra chilli sauces ... but then someone forgot to put the sauces in the bag 🙈. Ultimately, we ended up with two orders of food 😀.

3 stars is being kind. Milkshakes are fantastic. Thick and full to the brim. Still gotta pay extra for the cream lol ! (Like for real) I ordered a hot dog (stay away from it) it’s the skinniest hot dog that gets lost in the large hot dog bun. Not worth it. The pizza is okay the chicken wings are big and yummy just won’t recommend the toppings on the hot wings.

I have literally nothing bad to say about these beautiful humans. Consistently the best burgers in town. I've been ordering for years and they have only if anything got better. The meat options are sensational. The vegan options are astonishing. Something for everyone who truly loves burgers. So much attention to detail and love goes into every single order, you can tell that their standards are very high and each product is subject to genuine care and consideration before making it onto the menu. The no porkies burger is truly a feat of engineering and really filled a gap when i was first trying to be veggie but missing meat very badly. I took a bite and thought it had to be meat but it really isn't! So much texture, umami goodness and FLAVOUR it beats the hell out of most standard meat offerings. Meat options are always beautifully seasoned and done to a turn. The exact amount of dirt (fat, juice and flavour) you want from a burger without the horrible comedown where you feel like grease is coming out your pores and you ate a selection of rocks. The homemade sauces are an amazing finishing touch, again great attention to detail and always perfectly bright and balanced to make everything pop that bit harder. Thank you so much, i have never been disappointed (except once on my birthday when wings had almost old out but even then i had the last serving and was happy) and sing your praise whenever burgers or takeaway comes up in conversation. Top quality meat in the burgers. Homemade sweet potato chips and freshly squeezed Orange Juice. All ingredients were carefully sourced and excellent quality. The food was matched by Reg and the 5* service, as he said "everything is possible " when we needed to tweak the meal. Wonderful ambience and cool contemporary finish to the bar and eating area too. Highly recommended.

And the Donner meat was so dry qe wouldn't feed the dog it.
We also waited nearly 2 hrs for it to arrive.
Waste of £18.

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal last week, was genuinely surprised by the quality of the burger and the fries (the Katsu Fries were honestly exquisite). We've been to a few local pubs and restaurants since moving to Bristol but this was extremely impressive. Would absolutely recommend to anyone passing through the Gloucester Road/Stokes Croft area.
I’m never the one to write a review let alone a bad one. But I Never have I been so disappointed with a take away place. I Paid £27.50 for two horrendous burgers. Two chips that I can’t even understand how they call them chips looks like something you find on the floor. Also one side of halloumi fries that were completely inedible. If you’re super drunk and don’t care about what awfulness goes in your mouth and want to be ripped off then this is the place for you... I WONT BE GOING BACK!
You can taste that the burgers are fresh. The burger fillets were nice and crispy. Food tastes delicious and the waiter Zohayb was very friendly and gave us great customer service.
Just had a Deliveroo from here. It was really disappointing. I had the chicken burger - all the buttermilk batter was soggy and greasy, the mushrooms grey and thick with oil, soggy bun, mashed up lettuce . . . Just really poorly put together. The chips were no better - just like a load of crispy bits with very little evidence of ever having been a potato. £25 for a couple of burgers, chips and halloumi fries. Feel completely ripped off and not able to eat the meal.
There's so many burger joints now, it's easy for good ones to be lost and forgotten. If you're in Bristol, this is definitely worth a trip. They pride themselves on having locally sourced ingredients, and the quality really shines through. As a table, we ordered a few different burgers so I got to try most of them. They nail what you want from a classic burger, and the ones with interesting twists are genuinely original and tasty.
Absolutely fab place, a little difficult to get to and no seating, but there's no compromising the food quality being amazing. Great beef burgers in a soft bun and the moist, tender fried chicken... Don't hesitate!
A Fantastic unique burger joint on the 'Curry Mile'. The 'All Stars' American sports theme has been well incorporated into the interior design. The atmosphere is brilliant and plenty of seating available.
The menu has a variety of options for burgers. The lamb burger wasn't dry at all and very tasty. The brioche bun was soft and didn't fall apart. The burger in general was comfortable to eat (not messy).
Second time visiting and i was impressed with the consistency in standards.
Customer service was great.

Best burger I've had in Bristol. Went for the peanut butter cheese. Very nice, but too much pb but I'm fussy like that. Dirty fries were sweet. Not dirty enough but fresh and plenty. A lot of food.

Friendly staff, good service (either calling directly and picking up or through Deliveroo), and foremost DELICIOUSLY dirty! Burgers and fries are a delight. Good blue cheese sauce...chunky bas it should be. The 4 stars are solely because twice the delivery came (Deliveroo) missing one order. One time a burger and the second time, add bacon on fries, it's just sloppy specially when your expectations are high and constantly recommend it.
Excellent Kebab (kubideh), kashk bademjoon and Shisha.
We have tried their kubideh and kashk bademjoon. Their food is great and prices are reasonable. But they don't offer rice (Chelo). Their nan is crunchy and fresh.
