Professional staff from the time you enter the building. Knowledgeable and helpful. I would highly recommend this eye doctor’s office.
The Dutchess Optometry office staff including Dr. Lappan have been tending to me and my family’s needs over the years. I highly recommend you call them for all your vision needs. The office staff are all very friendly, courteous, and accommodating. I have been going there for years and they are all excellent and extremely professional.
They were able to get us right in, remove a pebble from my child’s eye and got us out without a single tear being shed!
Top quality care. Your eyes are in great hands. The ENTIRE staff is incredibly friendly and helpful (everything from getting an appointment, to setting you up initially before seeing the doc to helping you pick out frames). I have eye issues that concerned me and it was comforting to be taken seriously. Dr. Sheedy is an amazing clinician who is both friendly and thorough in her eye exams. Especially now that I am older - she really customizes solutions that work for your lifestyle and needs.
I was referred from a coworker to Dutchess Optometry. I have been wearing my monthly contacts and they have been bothering me quite often. I went to my normal optometrist who did nothing to help me. Dutchess Optometry however took care of me immediately. I was welcomed with smiles and pleasantries. The young lady that examined my glasses and assists Dr. Lappan was lovely. I knew right away this was my new optometrist. Once Dr. Lappan came in to see me she took her time and made sure that the new contacts would be better for me. I left that day loving my new contacts as I forget that I even have them on. I recommend everyone to visit and have yourself looked at. All practices should take note on how a real practice runs. I can’t wait to see Dr. Lappan and her team again.
This was my first time at Dutchess Optometry and I had a great experience from getting an appointment to having my exam and picking out my new frames. Everyone was very kind and helpful. I even brought a pair of sunglasses that were all out of shape and now they are fixed! My glasses came in so fast too! Thank you for a great service you have a good team.
I have been going to Dutchess Optometry for almost 20 years now. First seeing Dr. Sheedy and now Dr. Lappan. I have had bad eyesite since I was little. Dr. Sheedy eventually helped me get lasik at TLC and then about 13 years after that I started having other eye issues. Severe dry eye and astimatism. So for a complicated situation they are all very knowledgeable and nice. It is scary to deal with eyesite problems and they helped me get fitted for Sceleral lenses which have have been great. I would def recomend them to anyone.
Whoever they hired as a new receptionist is nasty and unhelpful. I asked her a simple question about getting my prescription and she proceeded to tell me how my prescription was expired (even though I was there a couple months ago to get checked) and that I messed up the situation somehow. Then she perceived to tell me that I missed a payment (which I did not) and suggested that I did not have enough money to pay it. She has no diplomacy and 0 customer service skills. In the end, she ended up providing me with what I asked for in the beginning of the call. It was a very unpleasant experience and I hope other people who are looking to get eye care don’t have to go through her. I won’t be going back.
