What's not to like Toilets during the peak season, river walks, woodland walks, paddleboarding, fishing . Once away from the main car parks it's peaceful/quiet rarely bump in to others when off the main tracks. Yet to see these elusive Goshawk though šŸ¤£.

LYNFORD GARDENS HOLIDAY COTTAGES

Had a lovely two night stay in one of these well appointed cottages recently. As well as all you need to cook and store food and drink, thereā€™s TV and Wi-FI with plenty of plug sockets.

Theyā€™re set behind the little Shepards Baa Cafe, in a walled garden. (no pets).

The self catering cottages vary from two storeys, one storey with separate bedroom, to bedsit type (The Wren).

Outside of the garden, Lynford Arboretum spreads over a large area, with woodland and open grassland walks, water features, historic grounds, Manor House and abundant wildlife. Post marked graded walks on accessible paths are spread throughout.

Staff are very friendly and helpful and canā€™t do enough for you.

This place is the perfect retreat to escape to. Would we go again?? Yes, without a doubt.

Lovely walk, visiting the area so had a few hours stroll around. Enjoyed. Seen a lovely church.
I spent a day here with my daughter whilst camping nearby.

It is well maintained with stuff going on (archery, play areas, Go Ape, trampolines, walking/riding trails) if you don't want to just sit and absorb the beautiful surroundings with a picnic.

Our main purpose of the visit was to check out the pump track. It's not the biggest, but it's a nice track for kids to ride.

There's plenty of parking, clean toilets, and a cafe on site.

I'd definitely recommend visiting and will return if we're ever in the area again.

Just stunning! A wonderful place to walk the dogs, so peaceful and quiet (other than the jets going over). Will definitely come back

Always lovely and restful. Great forest to come with the children. The Go Ape park has plenty of adventure and playground space from toddlers to teens. There are great tracks for walkers and runners. Plenty of people bring their bicycle to explore the forest. There is a cafe there and toilets as well as disabled parking and toilets.

Absolutely stunning!
We visited Thetford Forest as a stop over for half way to Cromer Beach. It was stunning šŸ„° there was beautiful forestry, ducks, a lake, a cafe and a botanical garden! Well worth the visit.
