Lunchroom Borboleta

Good coffee and cakes. Unfortunately, didn't make any pictures. The ladies working there were kind and generous.

It's a very nice, easygoing Café with little dishes in case one is hungry. Very good voffee and a good "vibe". I definitiv want to come back.

Very nice look, very nice place. Just coffee is not that super good.
Nijmegen offers a lot cafes, competition is big. Probably depending of barista as well. Coffee was a bit light and watery.
I don't like you pay extra for oat milk, that is now so normal in NL - that you drink some other milk. It's time to get normal as well all over the place. A lot café offer without paying extra.
It total place looks good, like the atmosphere but they can improve a bit. :)

Nice little haven of quiet in the bustling city center of Nijmegen, Borboleta offers a refreshing break in their city-garden.

The drinks come out quick and are delicious!
There are not that many seats however, so if you do not want to take your coffee to-go, be sure to be on time to claim a spot.

The coffee comes from Coffyn: a coffee shop and roastery in Malden that brings job opportunities to those who might not be elligible for the common job-market.

We visited Borboleta for a high tea, thus we had the change to try many of their dishes. All of them were really well made and tasted great. If you want to sit cosy there is a nice courtyard. The only feedback we have specific to the high tea, it would be even better to have a teapot on or next to the table and perhaps smaller glasses because it would allow the tasting of more different teas. The food was so good, we would also have liked to see nicer cutlery to make the experience complete!

Nice cafe great coffee and tea. We had toasties that were affordable as well as available with cornbread and goat cheese. A vegan style brownie in the menu and the cheesecake was very nice. Recommend this place. The coffee was best I have on my European trip.
