Moody gardens is definitely worth a look at for sure. I recommend to go at least once! Tons of things to look at and we'll maintained. We went during the week so it was pretty quiet which allowed us to take in everything at our own pace. We did the tickets that include everything even though I feel it's hard to enjoy everything in one day considering everything opens at 10am and closes at 4 pm. There's simply just too much to see and do. As for the rainforest pyramid itself. There's alot of exhibits along the path that guide you from the top down. The first and upper level is pretty hot and humid bit there is ac vents you can stand by to stay cool (big plus) some of the animals are free range inside and some are in exhibits. This was great as my son enjoyed seeing the birds and monkey walking around ( nothing ever came too close for comfort) the exhibits had alot of cool things like bats and a komodo dragon. I really liked it. We came back in 2018 and everything kind of seemed the same but well maintained. Highly recommend.

Very neat experience, we took my 3 year old and she wasn't super interested in it but loved the aquarium so much!! I really enjoyed both experiences, I hadn't been here since I was a child as I'm from dfw. The prices are pretty steep but worth it for a family vacation outing.

We took our Junior Girl Scout Troop and it was so great! There was tropical birds walking and flying around. The vegetation was absolutely gorgeous too! There was a few animals we didn't see, they were being shy lol! The leaf cutter ant structure was really neat too! The anaconda are was interesting as well. The upper canopy area is humid as expected but they have little cooling stations to help out! I'd recommend this place for all ages.

Very nice visit, but extremely hotđŸ”„in this heat wave in the top of the pyramid. Thank goodness for air-conditioned areas. The bottom of the pyramid was much cooler. Enjoyed it nonetheless.

I really enjoyed it. Its nostalgic. I felt like a child going on field trip. This place smells and feels like a real rainforest, it’s really humid inside but its so nice of them to put up a lot vents for tourists when they feel hot and sweaty.

It's truly amazing. Both the wildlife and the exotic palms, ferns, and trees. Stepped into another world. Very well done with exhibits from the forest canopy to the ground and water below. Inspirational and sad. Eye opening, to say the least.

So beautiful! The birds are everywhere flying free and the fish and turtles are incredible. The plants are magical - I don’t see how they have managed to create such a healthy ecosystem in a literal giant greenhouse. We can’t wait to come back! Hopefully when the kids are older we can have time to just sit on one of the benches and relax. Love their nocturnal animal enclosures too - the porcupine was ADORABLE and the bats are so cute. Even on Memorial Day weekend it wasn’t super busy. Please keep in mind that the “Canopy” level of the Pyramid is super hot - when you walk in you will be SWEATING - but as you descend down the layers of the forest it get a LOT cooler and becomes very comfortable.
