Lions Den Trailhead

Fun trail with 2 tunnels and the trestle. A deer ran just next to us near the trailhead!

A very enjoyable hike for the whole family. Walking through the train tunnels is a little creepy, but a nice chance to cool off from the summer sun.

This is a great spot to hop onto the trail to trail. The trailhead has a map, trash, and a vault toilet. It's a mile up to the old train bed and about a 400 for climb. From there, you're pretty much in the middle so you can take a right and see the shorter of the two tunnels. If you walk to the left another approximately 1.5 miles, you'll have walked through the long time and gotten into the tresel bridge. There are tons of opportunities to extend our make loops off of the train trail.

Was mislead by the name. This is Not an actual Campground, its day use only.

Great trailhead for some if the Thompson Park trails

Very good hike

Great place to get out of town quick. Used to be a campground, not any more. Nice quiet and clean place to take the family for a picnic. This place closes at 9:00PM so remember to be gone by then, the gates lock.
