Beautiful gorgeous trail. You can get a guide for a loonie to learn about the history of indigenous people - specifically the Wendat and Haudenosaunee. Obviously worth it. Very quiet, easy trail around a small lake. Great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

It was good loop to hike. Only 4km and there are look out points and picnic tables in between it.

Thoroughly enjoyed this trail at Awenda provincial park. There is a stretch where the views aren't as great and you're just walking through some flat wooded area, but the views do make up for it. Would definitely recommend doing this hike if you visit the park. Vault toilets available at 2 parts on the trail.

Great place to bring the pup! The trail is an easy enough hike. Took us about an hour to go all the way around the lake. We weren't rushing either. Beautiful scenery all along. The boardwalk is nice too.

Much better than I expected, especially for someone who isn't big on nature walks. There are different paths you can take, all with different walking times.

We took the birds of prey route and saw 5 or 6 different birds, including a bald eagle!!

Inside there is a small gift shop and little area to see some turtles and even a snake.

We got lucky as one of the staff saw our 2 boys and allowed them to see both Sonic the turtle and Zar the snake up close.

Admission was $10 per person and I felt the animal experience at the end really made it a priceless experience!
