Afghan Grill House

Wrap was filled with extra lettuce tomatoes there was hardly any chicken any protein. Price mentioned was 6.49$ but charged 10.7??
Definitely not worth the price. I didn’t argue because I was hungry and also the wrap looked filled. Turned out to be filled only with salad.

Taste was not that great honestly couldn’t taste anything but the lettuce and tomatoes.

The service was good. Person dealing was very nice.

A nice little Afghan restaurant at the corner of two quiet streets.
The food is tasty, the service is friendly, and the price is reasonable.

We ordered lamb shank with Qabili, Mantoo and chicken stew with rice, and the food was good and tasty, the portion sizes were generous, and the service was fast.

First time dining at this establishment. I’ve been to several different afghani restaurants in the GTA over the years and I was excited to try this place. They didn’t have barg which is my go-to dish so I had their beef tikka dinner plate. Beef was tender and grilled nicely but it lacked something in flavour, the rice was softer/overcooked than most basmati rice I’ve eaten in the past. The salad was fresh and their naan was what you’d expect, made to order and warm. I couldn’t tell if the hot sauce is made in-house or from a jar.

Pictured and in my video is PACKAGE 2 of their family platters. It cost us roughly $80 and fed 4 of us well. That’s roughly $20 per person.

The interior of the business is on the low end however that is because the food is on the high end. High quality fresh foods cooked quickly and served in time.

We walked in and waited about 15 minutes for our food. So not bad! They aren’t a very popular restaurant from what it seems so you’ll likely have no issue finding space to be seated.

Washrooms are tucked away in the back and for those who are Muslim: they have prayer mats for your convenience.

I would recommend this place. Tasty foods, cheap restaurant prices and at the end of the day, you support a whole family with your purchase. Not bad I’d say.

Also: from my brief understand of other reviews, do not take out. It seems like perhaps they portion a lot less.

I called to ask reason & they hung up twice and tried to fool me as I didn’t know.
Instead of offering better service and apologies they told me do whatever you want.
I have bought food from same location multiple times before and never had issues
We ordered platter#3 $104.00 worth and all we got was small 6x6 box of salad and 2 boxes of 6x6 rice,
Is this called large rice and salad??

Tasty, fresh and clean. One lady show! 100% authentic afghan. Almost like home food. Kids loved it.

Reasonably priced authentic family run business.
Ordered chicken Tandoori and Shami kebabs combos. Comes with rice, salad, Nan and sauces.
Everything tasted well. Lady at the counter/cook very friendly to deal with.
