Airport Taxi Center

The driver nearly crashed twice, and only narrowly avoided doing so because I called out. To make matters worse, we had to argue with him to turn the meter on and even with that, he charged us double what it was suppose to cost. The police were unhelpful and simply said that we were in fact charged too much, but that we should just pay and then file a complaint because they don't handle that sort of issue.

Contact your hotel/accomodation and have them organize a ride, do not risk your safety or your money here. Supporting this sort of scam only hurts everyone.

I took a taxi and make sure before we move that he will go by meter and he confirms, but just 2kms and it's already 85TL , so ofcourse he makes the meter count fast, i tries to call police but unfortunately no answer !!!
i had to go out and leave him and took another taxi who took 100TL for 8kms plus traffic too.

They are thieves.

be careful. they drive extra miles for getting more money. I paid 20€ for a 5€ drive. In cases like this you can call directly the police and always ask before, how much it'll cost or take the tram for getting outside airport area and take another taksi station.

My kid lost his phone in a taxi the day before. The taxi driver was great, he took it to our hotel but when he found out we'd left the hotel for the airport he kindly picked it up and took it to us. While I was waiting one of the drivers came in, he spoke English, he told me they pride themselves on giving a too service and if someone forgets something they always do their best to get it back to the person. He also warned me off pirate taxis. All in all a really good experience and the prices are very reasonable.

Rejected to use meter and very offensive communication. To be avoided.

We wanted to pay by card so we took a car with a terminal pos from the official taxi stop. In front of the hotel, it turned out that despite payment attempts the terminal cannot connect every time, it loses connection (that said the taxi driver).
We had to pay for the trip in cash. In the end it turned out that our card was charged 3 times for 13 euro per this trip (39 euro in total).

Be careful because you can be cheated just like us.
