I had a great time here. The food is good, the service is great and the overall place is nice and we'll designed. I had the pork belly ramen and it was very tasty and filling. While not mind blowing I was still very satisfied. The dish was very large, and the food arrived quick. The staff were also very kind and helpful, and have a very detailed allergy guide for all of their dishes. The place itself is cool but the sitting is slightly awkward, while not uncomfortable I'd rather sit on soft padding or a couch. Cool vibe.

For the last couple of years, I’ve been a regular customer here at this location.
The food and drinks have always been consistent in taste, quality and quantity.
It is always freshly made and delicious!

The crew here is amazing! Always very welcoming, friendly, genuine and customer facing.
Since the remodel, the overall vibe is modern, clean and welcoming.

The Chicken Katsu Curry is one of their classic dishes. And it is absolutely delicious!
One of my absolute favorites for sure.
Usually I always ask for extra salad dressing to add some sourness to the dish. Next to that I usually order a small or large tropical juice with ice cubes on the side. A nice refreshing drink to accompany the main course.

Would I recommend this Wagamama location?
You bet! Absolutely!

I'm a long standing fan of Waggas and it rarely let's you down. They have upgraded the seating arrangements from the old days, but the menu quality remains solid. The chicken katsu curry is still hard to beat!
This restaurant has a decent location looking onto a small square right next to Leidseplein.

Wagamama is one of those franchises that’s had it’s fair share of up and downs since Alan Yau opened its first restaurant in 1992 in London.

I used to be a big fan of the chain, going every weekend for a meal and enjoying every minute of it.

It’s downfall started when it changed owners to couple of hedge funds that didn’t give a s**t about what they had bought. All of a sudden, the flavours, the taste and the portions all went downhill, resulting in me shunning the chain for over 10 years.

By pure luck, I decided to try Wagamama once again to my pleasant surprise. The flavours and portions are back, and it seems all pretty reasonable considering the increase in food supplies of late. You can even get free green tea, but don’t forget to add it to the order.

Ordering by QR code is pretty efficient although I do miss the human touch of a waiter taking your orders.

All in all, I’m happy that Wagamama seems to have rediscovered what it was all about and I will try and make it a weekly sojourn like the good old days. Kudos to the new owners, the Restaurant Group, for reviving this franchise to what it should be.

nice asian food place. the vegetarian dishes are delicious and has. very good looking The restaurant is very comfortable and has a nice terrace outside to eat outdoors. The only bad thing of my experience were the toilets. They were very dirty and dusty.

The food was sooo salty, it was inedible. Especially the seitan vegan curry. We even ordered an extra brown rice for €3.50 and it barely helped. Brisket ramen was sooo salty too. Pricey for what you get. Food looks good, but Portions are not that big. The only redeeming food was the mushroom and eggplant baos. Worst dining experience. Come on restaurant, you can do better…..
