The bread from this place is pricey but very good, probably the best I've found on the Upper West Side. I especially like their seedy sourdough. They also have quality coffee. However, knocking off a star because they discontinued their vegan cookies and now have no vegan pastries. Disappointing.

Had the Shushuka danish. The tomato base was zesty and complemented the feta well. Pastry was ok flaky but that may have also due to it being reheated on a panini press. If it were close to fresh baked it’d be 5 stars.

The BEST sourdough bread on the upper west! I found this gem when I first moved here and have been going back every week for my weekly loaf. I’ve tried both the seedy sourdough + whole wheat (both delicious!). I’ve been eyeing up the rest of the baked goods as well that look delightful. Staff is super friendly! 😊

This place is a wonderful bakery! 🥖 Bourke Street Bakery offers a great selection of fresh bread 🍞, pastries 🥐, and baked goods! 🥧 Definitely get the Light Rye Sourdough bread loaf and Sourdough Baguette! I wish I knew about this place earlier!

In an area with many great bakeries, this one stands out as the best, with uniquely aussie dishes you can’t get anywhere else. The pork and fennel sausage roll is amazing, with a buttery and flaky outside and a dense and savory inside. It might look small, but do not be fooled, the sausage rolls and meat pies are very filling. The croissant sandwiches are perfect for a lighter option. The seeded sourdough is my favorite bread of all time. Everything has a distinctly handmade feel, and it’s clear they use premium ingredients. Highly recommend!

The Bourke street bakery is replacing PICCOLO cafe (the Piccolo sign is still up the wall). They have another Bourke street bakery on 28th street. Originally from Sidney, Australia, this is a charming bakery with gourmet coffee, bread and pastries. It reminds me more of a danish place than a French one, but great nonetheless. The sourdough and baguette are great. So are the croissants and sausage rolls. Nice Ambiance, the decor is simple and rustic, which gives it an additional charm. The staff is very nice.

New Aussie bakery offering wide variety of freshly baked pastries and breads (refer to the board). Decent espresso beverages and flaky croissants with good lamination.
