Spectacular Library makes you feel very cozy at home, the attention is very good, they offer rentals of video games, movies, books, magazines, etc. They have several rooms: use of the computer for 1 hour, reading, work, to read and children's area (interactive games on the PC, books, etc.). They have a printer with wifi, coffee machine and water

Have not lived in Huntington since 1971. I remember when the library back in the 1950s
was in the old Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Building
on the West end of town. I recall the stone wall and climbing the stairs to enter the building . The current location opened in July 1958.

Large and beautiful library. Tons of services for all members of the community. They also have a massive selection of ebooks for your kindle via the Libby app!

Beautiful old building right in downtown Huntington village. Walkable to all of the village’s restaurants and shops. The children’s area is well maintained and full of fun stuff!

A great community space that is welcoming to all. It provides numerous resources and events for both kids and adults. It doesn't have it's own parking lot but you can park in the free municipal lot across the street or on the side streets.

The average clientele (adults) don’t understand that libraries are generally quite places and whispering is the appropriate volume to talk. Many people talk as loud as they please and when confronted or stared at, they just get louder. Like, Seriously? Are you that petty that you can’t just be quiet and polite in a library.

Further, people don’t understand that libraries aren’t places to let your children run around and scream. God forbid you have to parent your child and teach them to be quiet.

Maybe obnoxious reminder signs would help, since people don’t have common courtesy anymore.

Horrible place to study.

EDIT: I was in a quiet area. However, people think it’s a “talk as loud as you want” area, including the library staff and people that come in to talk on the phone.

A peaceful place with great programs to boot. The children's area is nicely done and the summer reading club they have every year is very encouraging to get kids to read. I've saved so much money doing things through them, lovely library.
