If history is your thing, then you’ll enjoy feeling the vibe and reading about the stories of this place on your phone. The drinks were good - Old Fashioned for me - and the setting feels untouched since the 60s and the days Sinatra and buddies would pop in at the Oscars intermission next door. But if you’re in company who just want a drink in a “nice” bar you might want to take them elsewhere and save this joint for yourself. I was happy to have my last drink in LA here.

The bartender said it was a dive bar despite the cocktails sign over the door. Friendly welcome and prompt service. Cool and dark after the blazing sunshine outside. Had a decent cocktail and G&T.

Best little bar on Hollywood Blvd. Great go to before or after vinyl shopping at Amoeba!

Other than the history there's nothing unique about this narrow, shotgun style bar. That isn't to say I had a bad experience. The bartender was attentive and friendly. Drinks were made well and strong enough. There IS history here so I gave an extra star for a place Belushi hung out. Sly had been there and of course it was the last place the Black Delia was seen alive. If history is your thing, like me, check it out. If not, meh.

I’ve been coming here off and on since I came to Cali over 20 years ago. Great dive bar in Hollywood. The inside hasn’t changed and 2 of the main bartenders are still there. Service has always been great. Drinks are reasonable; especially for Hollywood.

Probably best known for it's appearance in scenes of the movie L.A. Confidential, it's actually a little bar with a huge personality. Friendly bartenders, good prices for the drinks. I enjoyed my visit, and, believe you will too. Don't expect ANY FOOD, not even peanuts!! Just drinks and great service. Lot's of 80s music during my visit.
