These gardens are so stunning, one of the best botanical gardens I’ve visited. Such a beautiful array of plant varieties & flowers, there are gorgeous water views as well. There’s a cafe on site & a cute gift shop. I love coming back here & strolling around the gardens. It would be a perfect place for a picnic or date. Definitely recommend a visit if you’re near here / coming to Hobart.

Loved this place. Not only is the garden stunning, but the view is breathtaking. The fragrance in the air and seeing children play on the grass as they rolled down the hill. Locals seem to know it as the place to picnic. Love it.

It is one of the most beautiful botanical gardens I have visited. It has all the names of the plants and flowers, including the region where they are from. It's a very knowledgeable experience and got to click a lot of beautiful pictures.

It feels like a paradise for nature enthusiasts, with expansive paths and trails winding through lush greenery and vibrant flower beds. It is recommended to set aside a generous amount of time to fully appreciate the beauty and variety of this garden.

The Royal Botanical Garden is also praised for its family-friendly atmosphere, with dedicated play areas, interactive exhibits, and educational programs that cater to visitors of all ages. It provides a wonderful opportunity for kids to learn about nature and develop a love for the environment.

The Tasmanian Botanical Gardens is undeniably a must-visit destination. There’s an abundance of natural beauty to behold in this charming little spot, and I wholeheartedly recommend a visit. It’s an enchanting place to unwind, immerse yourself in nature, and take in the serene surroundings. There are numerous opportunities to pause and relax, thanks to the many well-placed benches along your path. I initially planned for just a couple of hours but found myself captivated and ended up spending half the day exploring the countless wonders this garden has to offer.

The second oldest Botanical gardens in Australia apparently.
Superb views in all directions. Sloping ground mostly but there's a buggy for those who need it.
The Arctic room is bound to make the kids laugh (except on a winters day!). See short video.
Great lunch at the restaurant.
Very clean toilets.

Top 5 things to do in Tasmania includes this for me. I enjoyed my walk for 4hrs here. For nature lovers this is a place to visit. From them entrance to exit the team was very helpful. You will find beautiful gardens from different countries here. Picnic area and gardens are amazing and well maintained.
