We came with two other friends to share a roast, everything was delicious! The lady who served us was really friendly, luckily we were also sat next to the fireplace, so cosy down there... would definitely recommend !

Good selection of beers and wine. The staff were friendly and helped create the atmosphere. We enjoyed people watching out the window, and sitting in the side area downstairs, unfortunately the garden was a bit too smoky for comfort.

We sat in the upstairs bar which was very quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful. My wife had cod & chips which she said was excellent. I had the sausage and mash which was delicious. Two excellent meals, well done to the kitchen staff 👍

Woman behind lower bar rude and unhelpful to both so us on separate occasions when trying to order. Told to order upstairs she was far too busy. Upstairs no wine. Told to go downstairs. I said I am not doing that as woman very rude. Food not so good. Roast potatoes pale white and tasted of oil. Vegetables tasteless Chicken cooked nicely. I am really quite easily pleased so must have been bad. Male waiter pleasant and helpful. Disappointed as you were recommended. Won’t be coming back.

Had a sharer roast, needed a bigger table but staff were very proactive and lovely. I was impressed with the value and the location is great. The staff were all fab!

Great food and good drinks selection. Beautiful plating. The calamari was cooked perfectly (one of the best ones we've had) and the chorizo was equally good. The vibe was laidback, cosy, and a welcome break from the heat outside. I honestly wanted to give a 5-star rating except that the bar staff could use a smile or two. It was such a lovely day and we greeted her smiling but she probably was having a bad day and was quite abrupt that it didn't feel welcoming. Or it could be just her personality. I don't know but it did make my husband and I feel a bit uncomfortable. We always put a premium on professional, friendly service and our experience in that department today was, sadly, disappointing. I sincerely hope that she's ok. She really looked unhappy. The other staff, to be fair, were very friendly and helpful.

Pleasant venue but overpriced veggie options. The portion size for the creamed corn and sweet potato (pictured) was very small for £15. Nice chips but I had finished my meal before they arrived so that seems like poor planning in the kitchen.
Very nice mojitos though they’re not very standardised as two of us got different styles.
Outdoor seating is nice but those of us indoors didn’t appreciate the cigarette smoke wafting in from outside.
Probably wouldn’t go back unless just for a drink but there are plenty of other nice places nearby.
