They could try a bit more to make it suitable for plane watching.
Very limited view

Giving it a 3/5 as it’s quite a far away spot from the action - due to how little spots there are for LPL though I can’t knock it too much. Decent if visiting the area

It’s a great spot for plane spotting. Best to keep tabs on what planes are arriving and departing before you go. There’s a grass hill where you can sit or park your car in the parking or just stand at the fence. Lovely spot.

If you are in a car you stand a much better chance of getting good views, particularly in bad weather. For anyone on foot there is no shelter whatsoever. The high fences make photography challenging.

Very good although not good in the rain as there is nowhere to get shelter so you get wet very wet but good for plane spotting

The best place for spotting in Liverpool since the closure of Dungeon Lane. It won't beat the original mound, but this mound is higher up, so you can get better pictures of movements on the taxiways and runway.

Just a few things: there are lots of insects that land on the blackberry bushes on the highest mound, so if you're squeamish of insects, you should probably stick to the lower mound (although despite being an insectophobe myself, I was surprised that they avoided me almost completely). Also, there's a building that partially blocks the view of approaching taxiing aircraft, but it's only a minor inconvenience.

If they made this spot a designated viewing spot with amenities, it would be a 5 star. I think it's a good idea if they really do want to challenge Manchester Airport.
