Deplorable service and food. My husband planned this for our friends who were visiting from Australia and myself since i had never visited before. We specifically chose to have our lunch here because we wanted the full experience of Grouse Mountain which included enjoying what was supposed to be an amazing Canadian meal. We were seated quickly even though we wanted a view table we were told none were available at the time. we understood. Our waitress who was from the UK took at least 20 min from when we sat down to come by and introduce herself. We got our drinks and then she was gone for the next 25 min. Finally we were offered more water and we asked to please have our waitress come to take our order. Another 10 min went by. She finally showed up but forgot to bring her pen to take our order so she had to go back and get it. Now this is not an exaggeration. What kept me from being rude was that we were entertaining our dear friends and the last thing i wanted was to be a "Karen" but your waitress was horrible. When our food finally came out we thought that the wait would be worth it, but it truly was not. This was the worst cheeseburger ive had here in Canada. How do you make a cheese burger taste weird? and our friend order the Poutine (firt time trying it and we suggested it to him) the gravy was runny and it had no color. All the gravy was at the bottom of the bowl. So he it is safe to say he won't be raving about the Poutine like we wanted him to. We also order nachos which had asome cheese on top of the nachos but underneat there was nothing but broken down chips extremely salty. The only good thing that i can say i had was the ginger ale.
Go in low and you may be pleasantly surprised.
But luckily Grinder and Coola made up for it!

On our recent visit to Vancouver we sort of stumbled on this Restaurant at the top of Grouse Mountain. Thanks to a Google review, we found out that the gondola ride was free with a restaurant booking, so took the plunge. Ride tickets were valid from 4pm for our 6pm reservation, giving us enough time to see the bears (sad they are in an enclosure but better than the alternative) and part of the flying bird display.
Menu a little limited, but was delicious (made even more so by exceeding our expectations!) and the view over Vancouver was spectacular.
Special mention for the beef tenderloin, and the puddings but everything was a delight.

What an incredible and memorable experience for my sisters’ bachelorette dinner. The view is absolutely stunning and the food is very very good. What made the evening next level was the service from Lindsay. She truly went above and beyond to make the evening special. One of the best dining experiences in a long time. Thank you, Lindsay. You’re a gem.

When we planned our summer vacation to Vancouver, we literally stumbled across The Observatory and made our reservation right away.
The views speak for themselves, and our server was very friendly and talkative with a great sense of humor. Overall, it was a great experience.
I'm not one for social commentary, but I feel I need to explain the 4 star ranking for Atmosphere.
It was no fault of the employees or the restaurant....its because of two specific tables and the customers seated there.
I am by no means a perfect person and have my faults, but when dining in a location such as The Observatory, please exercise some form of etiquette. I'm not sure if it's post COVID, certain members of today's generation, or something else, but when you're sitting at a table in close quarters with other customers, keep your volume down. No one is interested in your life that much, and using the word "Like" nine times in a sentence makes you sound uneducated.
And one other thing.....don't ask to sample the wines to see which one you like. If you don't know what you like when it's comes to wine... Don't drink it!!
Get a cola......

My husband and I had a lovely dinner here; everything was excellent and memorable. If you are lucky will get a spot next to a window, It is impressive to see the sunset through the mountains and on the ocean; it couldn’t be better. Such a beautiful scenery with breathtaking views.

Went to The Observatory with friends for dinner. The ride up in the gondola got better and better as we went up, it offers an amazing view of the city below. We took a walk around prior to going in we saw the bears and more amazing views. Dinner was amazing everything from the wine to the dessert were delicious and beautifully presented. The view from the restaurant itself is breathtaking, especially as the lights come on in the city below. Worth the time and effort to dine here.
