Gold Bistro Chinese Restaurant

Decided to give this place a try for dinner buffet. It was delicious, lots of options with a couple dim sim ones as well. Quick to refill items. Allan and Lucy were friendly and attentive. The prices are reasonably also. It's definitely worth a visit.

I have been going to this place since I was a child and it is still as amazing as it was back then!
The buffet experience is really well done and the food is so good! Even taking out for take out is really well done, the staff are so polite!
Some of my favourites are the sweet and sour chicken with pineapple and the shrimp chop suey!

After reading through almost every restaurant In the areas reviews this was no doubt the best place to dine for dinner! They had an amazing atmosphere and clean restaurant. You were greeted right as you walked in with excellent customer service and attention to every detail of your time in the restaurant the buffet food was amazing for the price and if I was a resident this would be my go to Chinese restaurant. You were updated every-time they refilled the food and brought it out fresh. As well as your drink was never empty and promptly refilled.
If you are visiting the area I would highly recommend this as a must eat place.

Chose this place by Googling “Asian Buffet near me” and found this great little place in south Calgary! Very friendly greeting and an explanation that as it was 7 pm if any of the buffet options were missing or running low just to let them know and it would be made up fresh with an intent to not waste food. Options were great: sweet & sour pork, shrimp and broccoli, skinny and fat noodles, stir fry rice, delicious ginger beef 😋, hot & sour soup, wonton soup, salt & pepper squid, chicken and mushrooms, dumplings, sauces, mixed veggies, and more, dessert bar and ice cream selection. The restaurant was spacious, clean bathroom, speedy water refills and lots of people were thanking the staff for a wonderful meal. All positive and priced sensibly 👍 we will aim to go again.

Dinner for two is not worth the price.
The serving portions are not worth $35 or quite enough for two people for dinner. As well, the ginger beef was mainly breading and hard to chew – seemed like it had been well beyond over cooked.

Ordered take-out from here via UberEats.
WonTon Soup was really good, the rest was meh.
The bean curd and vegetables were flavorless and expensive for what it's worth. Salt and Pepper Squid was extremely flavorless aswell, can't expect too much from a buffet restaurant.

Went for Buffet on a Saturday evening. It surprisingly wasn't very busy. The staff we're great and quick on the water refills. Plenty of options in the buffet, and food was really good. Also have several dessert options and a few ice cream flavors to choose from.
