Varda Shoes

Good classic shoes but what has happened to this place? Unsuitable staff and loud commercial radio for a line with pretensions to elegance?

My favorite shoe store in Manhattan. I've purchased shoes here for years. The quality of the shoes is unmatched. I also love my Varda sandals.

Great shoes and great customer service

I found a pair of black boots that feels like it was made for me at this store. The leather is so soft, high quality and you can tell how well it’s made just by looking at it. And when I put on these boots, they fit PERFECTLY on my feet and calves. The length is also perfect. It is so comfortable to wear and stylish. It flatters the shape of my legs and make them look sexier and longer. This will be my everyday everywhere boots. If this comes in brown or other colors, I’ll get them too. Once I learned that there is a pair of boots that fits me this good, I can never go back to shopping cheap “OK” shoes anymore. Game changer.

I’ve been coming to Varda since college 20 years ago, and they manage to stock shoes that ride the line between timeless and trendy. Some models are evergreen and others seem to reflect the fashion moment. They are all beautifully made and are very comfortable. The staff is very helpful and always happy to return to the basement for different sizes and styles. There is a great sale section in the rear. One of my favorite stores in New York and very hard to find a down to earth, yet quality high end brand.
