If I could give this place negative stars, I would. For a place that forces people to buy expensive premium, they are clearly understaffed. Btw, you wouldn’t know you have to buy expensive premium package before you pick a center. Once you pick a center, there’s no way to change it unless you submit a new visa application and cancel the old one that you already paid. The lady at the front desk was very rude. Super long wait time too. Try to avoid it if you can.

Absolutely disgraceful customer service. Their website doesn't have any correct information. The call center is perpetually closed even on weekdays during working hours.
The icing on the cake is their rude employees, and the fact that you come to them for such a horrible experience for an in person interview after booking a flight and hotel is the cherry on top.

This is one of the gruesome experience i ever experience my life.
1. They charge $2.99 per customer service call - This is first time i need to put card details first in order to talk to the VFS representative
2. They don't have support email and guidelines and they don't have clean process to start with
3. they asked to submit an application on VFS and consular site online, why don't you leverage a single online copy. Since this world is evolved much.

Really Poor communication between their departments. VFS asked for additional documents and I provided the additional documents within the time-frame they requested. I also called and confirmed that they received the additional documents. After two days I received an email from VFS saying my application was being rejected and returned. One Department sent an email saying they received the additional documents and they will review, and on the other side after two days another department returned my application. I contacted VFS and they are making new excuses everyday and not returning my additional legal documents, and they want me to start a new application process again so I have already spent $87+ by getting documents notarized and mailing the application twice. This is really poor service by VFS and I am really frustrated right now. I am still waiting for my additional documents and VFS making new excuses everyday. One of the WORST customer service I ever experienced. Their departments don't communicate and they give really hard time to customers. I tried to call them but they will charge after 5 minutes and you have to provided Credit Card information before the call. They will put you on hold purposely so they can charge your credit card as much as they can if you talk more than 5 minutes. They will never provide any resolution over the phone. I have tried a few times already. I tried to reach out to them via email, but I still don't have any resolution. I would not recommend VFS to anyone. It is so frustrating, this is a really painful and frustrating process.

Staff was friendly and efficient. At my early morning appointment I was unfortunately missing copies of a document I needed for a residence permit, but my contact staff person was patient and helpful -- even though I could not get the copies to him until just before closing time. If I had arrived with that document, I would have been processed within 30 minutes. I appreciated this patience and willingness to work with me!

Constant error messages while submitted an application through the VFS portal and no customer support what so ever. I couldn't post this review without rating so I had to rate that 1 star. It deserves 'zero'.

I tried to submit an application for my passport renewal through VFS Global for more than 3 days, but I constantly experienced trouble with VFS Global web portal. I tried to call VFS Global DC office/customer care but none of the numbers have directed me to a customer support representative or given any relevant response. The errors displayed are very vague like "Max 13 characters permitted" - Why should the limit be 13 Characters? How can I limit the length of the characters when it is required? The error itself is vague - 13 characters permitted in which field? These fields are not new, they are the same in my current passport. and also I received another error which says "Invalid session, Kindly initiate your application schedule/reschedule again" - the same error displayed even after trying to submit the application for more than 20 times in a span of 3 days.

In spite of being an outsourcing and Technology service provider partnered with the Government of India, is this the performance you deliver? it's extremely unprofessional and negligent to firstly - create a platform that is full of bugs and secondly - not handling and resolving any issues that arise when customers use the portal as quickly as possible. How could you gamble with peoples time and effort?

I visited VFS Global in DC this past Friday to make my appointment to get a residence permit for Finland and was quite nervous going in because of its very poor rating online. I made sure I showed up 15 minutes on the dot before my meeting and was turned away until my time, but the security guard was very nice. I came back 15 minutes later and there was a massive line where when I first arrived there was none. The security guard thankfully moved me back to the front. To go through security, you need your appointment document, phone turned off and NO LAPTOPS are allowed. The rooms where the appointments are held are quite nice. There are about 8 different desk sections for meetings to take place. The biggest complaint I have for VFS is the communication issue. All of the people I encountered were friendly and nice but when it came to communicating information I needed to make sure I understood my next step and how to continue my residence permit process, it was quite complicated. Most, if not all of the people working there had VERY strong accents from where they were from and it was hard for me to understand. For a majority of my meeting, my specific meeting coordinator along with many surrounding employees were speaking in a different language which felt unprofessional and made me feel uncomfortable because they were clearly talking about my case. People should feel free to speak their native language, but when you're in a professional, government affiliated job that requires you to communicate important information in English, I feel that you should be able to do it well and communicate effectively. The reason I want to emphasize the importance of communication at VFS is because these meetings are solely focused on this and are vital when taking the next step of going abroad.
