Absolutely love this charming spot in South Australia! The timeless architecture of the old village creates an enchanting atmosphere, and the diverse dining options never fail to delight my taste buds. I find myself coming back again and again, and the satisfaction is simply endless.

A very attractive town. Disappointing there were not any locally grown/produced fruit and vege shops or produce markets. Along with locally farmed butcher shops and charceuterie producers, that would have been a highlight. A little more diversity required for those visitors not so much into wine.

It is such a pretty German village. It’s quite popular so it can get quite busy during the weekends but it’s worth the visit.

We were in SA visiting friends, went to Hahndorf on the Sunday. Very busy but absolutely loved it. So pretty and food was great.

With a range of local services for health, home, beauty, shopping, and business amenities, Hahndorf has everything all in the one place. 100+ traders make up our friendly community
From fresh local produce, jams, chutney, chocolate, fudge and apple strudel to Australia’s largest hotdog, we have a selection to entice every foodie.

Hahndorf is a German village area. Many things to see and shop. Most of the prices in the shop are quite reasonable. There's fruits and vegetables market there too. A lot of restaurants along the streets and many parking place to park our car. Beautiful shops adorning the streets. Well worth our visit.

Located just 25 minutes from Adelaide, Hahndorf is Australia’s oldest surviving German settlement and still has a strong German flavour most evident in the smallgoods outlets, bakeries, pubs, restaurants and cafes that line the bustling main street. While its proximity to Adelaide makes Hahndorf a perennial favourite as a day trip destination, most visitors wish they had longer to explore all the township has to offer so consider accommodation from the wide range available.
