Undercurrent Restaurant

Neighborhood jewel just outside my backyard! This establishment being 100 feet away, it was necessary to try. Love the bar area option if riding solo and the service is just as good. Plenty of menu options but not overwhelming, and when in doubt, get a recommendation because you can't go wrong. I finished off my brunch escapade with the blueberry bread pudding for dessert - so yummy! Clean, great customer service, tasty, and downtown GSO - SCORE!

Although the food was wonderful, I’m shocked with my experience. I have never gone to a fine dining restaurant (nor any restaurant) that did not provide some type of gesture for a birthday. Even so, who cares about the free dessert/gesture, my friend went up to the hostess to ask about what are the steps for a celebration for my birthday. The hostess stated she would inform the waiter. I’m surprised the hostess nor the waiter informed my friend to get a dessert. My friend would have easily purchased a dessert for me. Secondly, I called for a waiter and he acted as if he did not hear me and he was fairly close to me. Another table who was further away said the lady at the table was calling for you. Lastly, I’ve never been to a fine dining restaurant that didn’t have Tabasco sauce. When I asked the waiter who ignored me walked by and said that’s hilarious. Now this same waiter can overhear me speaking to another waiter, but can’t hear me calling him when it’s right beside me. I read previous reviews from other patrons that folks here are not friendly to black patrons. I hope it’s not true.

We had an amazing dinner and service! The fried cauliflower was wonderful! I am gluten free and they were able to customize everything for me. The gluten free chocolate cheesecake was a treat! Our server, Naia was so personable and made a special tea latte for me! One of the best dinner spots in Greensboro!

Awesome dining experience! The staff is very professional and polite. Atmosphere is great, and the food is one of the best places to eat in Greensboro. The chef and kitchen staff are spot on for prep of food and deliver on taste with every bite. Leave room for desert, you won't want to miss out.

Oh wow! I went looking for a good spinach salad and they delivered! I also got the cauliflower! Yummy! They are not dog friendly but when I called to make my reservation the manager was so nice that when I arrived he had a baggie of dog food for my Bruno! The atmosphere was very quiet and flow. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a good variety of food and a relaxing atmosphere! Thanks again!

4.5. Wonderful experience! Traveling on our Anniversary and made a reservation for a Thursday night. Receptionist greeted us warmly and said ‘I understand you’re celebrating your anniversary. Thank you for choosing us.’
It only got better from there. We ordered a cocktail each, old fashioned for him, pumpkin martini for her followed by light and crispy shrimp and lobster spring rolls. Moved on to the main course- duck breast with sweet potatoes and pears for him and lamb rack w/ collards, carrots, pickled fennel and manchego risotto for her. Although the duck was delicious I think I got the better deal with the lamb and the most amazing mix of vegetables and flavors. Every bite was a treat to the mouth. Our server suggested a lovely Cab Sav that was very smooth and paired well with the lamb. Almost too full for dessert we decided on the white chocolate and blueberry bread pudding with whipped cream and caramel because we could. Like the best French toast ever! Finished it all. Left satiated and very happy with our experience and celebration.
We highly recommend this farm to table restaurant and want to thank the chefs for our delicious meal.

Had a wonderful dinner at Undercurrent! The food was delicious and beautifully prepared. The staff were all very friendly and made us feel like family being there. It was apparently that all of them enjoyed working there and interacting with guests. It was a pleasure dining here and some of the best service that I've received. Will definitely come back again.
