Dined at The Sandbar restaurant at Captain Hiram's resort. The location and the service are outstanding. They have done a great job of giving a Florida keys vibe to this Indian River location. Good food and good beer on tap as well.
New bartender Sheed was so nice and personable. First time here and had great conversation and was attentive to my needs. Room was soo clean it had a smell about it but overall super cool spot!
Brought my wife for a casual night a little food music and of course a couple of beers and wine for her . Table location was excellent at the waters edge , sat away from the band but the music was good ,the service was most excellent Cliff our server quick service as we sat down not a wait for our drinks and our food order was spot on timing , the food was good oysters were cold food was hot and delicious . Beers Icey cold , our server was attentive and professional also had good conversation about the area and the menu real good wait staff I hope to come back soon on my travels again . Thank you for the good time....
Went on the dolphin tour. Captain Lizzy and 1st mate Max were awesome! It was fun, informative... It was a little windy and Lizzy handled that heavy square box of a boat like she'd done it all her life. Max was very entertaining and knowledgeable about the area and was a great front man. They were both so good, the only critique I might have is they could've given us a little more dialogue. I only say that because they were so good we wanted to hear more of them. Highly recommend....
It's busy at peak times, so be patient... The server is coming. Garlic old bay wings must try. You're welcome in advance. Here is where size doesn't matter they are small but mighty. Drinks and live music, awesome atmosphere, and friendly locals. Share your table and meet someone new. Sitting by the water feeling the breeze while soaking up the energy of this place is magical.
Fantastic experience! Happy hour was lovely! Dinner was a bit busy. Breakfast was a bang for your buck! Delicious shrimp and grits and my boyfriend chose a half order biscuits and gravy. He paid 3 dollars.
It was my first time at this fun waterside eatery. I started off my meal ordering a strawberry daiquiri. It was refreshing as well as delicious. Moving on to the real food, I had fried cheese sticks for an appetizer. They were typical and tasty as expected. Next, I ordered a fish sandwich and fried onion rings. They charge extra for the onion rings. Don't waste the money. They were greasy and burnt. I could not finish them. The highlight of the meal was the superb fish sandwich. The perfectly cooked fish was so fresh that I would swear the chef had a fishing pole hanging out the kitchen window. All joking aside, this is a very good restaurant with a casual atmosphere, friendly staff, and nice size portions. After filling up, my friends and I walked along their extensive dock area.
