Some very nice small independent eateries. However, so many of the big retailers have now gone and there's so much building work going on it is disappointing as a shopping destination.

All ok because walking through the centre is something to do when you want to be your supper star, of all time you want to be on a good when public people see the self care of your new look, never be afraid the person you want to be when you was growing up as in life.

Parking available but instructions on how it works - none, shocking.
There have been some improvements and there are some shops available like: Primark, river island, boots.. but still a few shops are empty.
Directions boards and signals should be implemented to help visitors know where things are and improve their experience.

Like my 3 ⭐ rating and the current average it's OK but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit. They are other local shopping centres that have free parking and you can visit easily on the bus. Primark is the flag ship store here, the only high street store, the rest being a mix of coffee shops, opticians, phone shops, perfumery jewelers, shoe stores, rotating seasonal shops and expensive pop up fast food outlets. One permanent, McDonald's. Stockport council seems obsessed with forever renewing paving, street furniture and expanding council offices into vacant retail space. This town centre is a work in progress and I look forward to the day when it's finally finished. NO MORE PAVING PLEASE!

Very dismal 😢 what are the local council thinking spending money on things that local people have not chosen ? Spend money where we need it ! The shopping precinct and our famous market have sadly declined over the years with many of the Top brand retailer taking business elsewhere, high business rates and over priced rents. Winning the Carbuncle Cup 2017 for Redrock being voted the worst architectural eyesore, Grand central has been a disaster apart from the swimming pool, the towering buildings presently being built right near the shopping centre covering our historical viaduct are an eyesore.

Parking rules are shocking. We got a fine at carpark at st Peter's gate at top of hill where plaza is. Paid 4 pounds parking and got ticket because we were in bay for residents. Signs high on wall in small writing and only 5 spots for public. Revenue collecting

I've seen a lot of changes over the years, and most, unfortunately, not for the better. Most of the big brands have either moved away or been forced out, and the number of empty spaces is quite alarming given the growth in population that should be capable of sustaining a health, vibrant, and busy shopping experience.
Fingers crossed that one day it'll turn the corner. 🤞
