I visited Henlow Grange for a day spa in mid Nov 2023 with a friend. The view of the property is lovely as you drive up to it. The reception area is nice and staff were informative. The breakfast lounge is nice. With fresh treats to eat whilst you decide on venturing to the spa area. The spa area is calming in its appearance and has some cool retro spa photos on the wall. The treatment area has cozy seating and welcoming staff. I feel like you could spend lots on products. I had a facial treatment. My therapist, Sai, was amazing. She was good at massage and made my face feel and look amazing by the end. There are plenty of side relaxation rooms offering different ambiences. It’s worth exploring. The changing areas were ok, but luckily being midweek, there was plenty of space. I tried a fitness class that I had not done before. I really enjoyed and learned a lot about that particular activity. The food in the restaurant for lunch was yummy, and set me up for an afternoon of more lounging around. I visited the shop which is a shoppers dream. It’s a shame it closes as the same time as the day spa, however maybe that is a good thing.
Check out was easy and leaving in the dark half made me wish that I’d booked a room to sleep in. All in all, an enjoyable day.

Went for a spa day with a few mini treatments. It was lovely and the staff were all really nice. Would have been 5 stars if the robes were plus size friendly which unfortunately they were not

Staff are lovely and really try and make you welcome. We had special dietery requirements and the chef prepared delicious wholesome meals for us daily over the 3 nights we stayed there. Rosina, Adrian and Thomas (Tommy) were especially lovely and looked after us very well.

Had a lovely time, the grounds are beautiful and was nice to sit out in the sun. The lunch was okay, used to be a buffet style which was much better, fresher and healthier. The vegan poke bowl was not good at all, just cold rice in a pool of soy sauce. The pasta was nice. There are no spa facilities but enjoyed the aquarobics and the changing rooms are well kept

We went for a spa day. It was massively overpriced. The staff were friendly but we felt as if we weren't welcome, like it was a gym with a spa attached to it, the building needs serious cleaning, the glass roof is dirty, and there are cobwebs everywhere. The food was good but we will definitely never be returning

Disappointing. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Staff - rude, unwelcoming, poorly managed. Customer service really needs a revamp.

Facilities - moulds in the steam room and jacuzzi. Lovely decor in the welcome area and coffee room though.

Rooms - nice decor, but the most uncomfortable beds. Rock hard beds and don’t even get me started on the filthy bathrooms.

Restaurant - awful food made with cheap ingredients which probably explains why the food packages are cheap. Wouldn’t mind paying more if the food was actually nice. Manager at the restaurant was rude which also explains why the staff weren’t very good. It seems like the badly managed culture is passed from top down. We ate there 3x during our stay as this was included in the package and not once did anybody ask how we found our food etc and each meal was as disappointing as before.

Shower rooms and toilets in the spa changing rooms are filthy with diarrhoea marks on the toilets and mould and mildew in the showers.

Communication lacked throughout. Between staff and to customers.

By far the worst ‘spa break’ I’ve ever experienced. But I guess we got what we paid for. I would find this below average even if I didn’t have any expectations.

If you're searching for an affordable getaway just to take some nice pictures for your Instagram feed and pretending you're in the countryside club, this place fits the bill.

However, if your goal is to enjoy quality time with family, friends, or partner, I would strongly advise against choosing this location. It's highly likely you'll end up frustrated with whoever made the decision to book here, as the entire experience falls short.

The enticing pool, garden, and room photos might deceive you, but don't be fooled.

I can't fault the staff; they appear dedicated and hardworking. Instead, it seems that the management team is falling short in terms of providing proper training and guidance.

To give you an idea of how disappointing it was, let me share an example. I ordered a mozzarella tomato salad twice. On the first night, there was no mozzarella, and on the second night, they substituted feta cheese without even informing me. It makes you wonder if they can't get a simple salad right, what else can they do right? Also, you might ask why would you order the same salad twice - well, the size of other starters are tiny.

This experience with the salad serves as a microcosm of the entire stay! Stay away from this place!
