her last name sounds like griffin but fancy i like it

This grave tells the story of the sad last goodbye of Jane Griffith. On an August morning in 1857, Charles Griffith said goodbye to his wife before heading to work on the 6th Avenue horse trolley, their dog looking on. When he returned that evening, he found her dead of heart failure. Carved of marble by Italian artist Patrizio Piatti, this monument has held up better than most because it faces eastward and is protected by a hill behind it.
