A calm place with beautiful sculptures. It has a represented a story. You will find the stories while entering the palace, although they are in German, you can translate them easily. You can sit there and enjoy a sunset as well. The sculptures are in a circular format adding to the beauty.

Free to enter, and the filming location of “do re mi” from the sound of music! It’s an absolutely beautiful place to explore and even just sit and people watch. Personally, I went to recreate all the sound of music shots, but I can see someone who doesn’t even know the movie enjoying their time here. The flowers are beautiful and the land is incredibly well taken care of.

Gorgeous park with plenty of flowers. Nice views of the fort. Perfect place to spend some time and enjoy the serenity, to plan rest of your day or simply enjoy a drink/food on a bench. Entry is free.

Amongst the must sees when you're in Salzburg, especially when there is no entry fee! The well-maintained garden landscapes and detailed goddesses sculptures simply delights. Lots of different flowers and colors to brighten up your days.

There is sufficient seating in the gardens to easily spend an hour or two, with a cup of coffee and book by your side :).. Enjoy the magnificent views of the castle here as well.

The famous movie “Sound of music” was shot here. A must visit if you’re a fan- take a picture on the steps that Maria and the kids sing at!

The gardens are about as beautiful as any garden I have visited across the world. They're vibrant, full of colorful flowers, neatly kept trees, and fountains. They're famous for choreography in Sound of Music so expect to see many familiar landmarks if you're a fan of the movie. It's free to enter and worth a second visit.

Great baroque gardens and sculptures, and free access to pristine manicured landscape. I was nicely surprised with the goddesses sculptures of Diana, Flora, Minerva, Ceres, Pomona. They all had their dress blown up and quite revealing but perhaps those were the times in 1689; it was very similar to Marilyn Monroe’s floating dress photo 300 years later… there is enough seating in the gardens to easily spend the day there. The conservatory is super small, but the parakeet choir gave the opposite impression from the outside - it seemed like a grand concert hall.

Beautiful and very well maintained garden. Colourful with the flowers and lush green grass. The fountain in the center just makes it much more adorable. You can see Salzburg castle standing high in the backdrop. The day of our visit, some instrumental orchestra was going on. It was an experience.
