Went here today, Saturday to the emergency room, I fell off my ramp while loading my motorcycle, my neck, right shoulder and right butt bone hurt pretty bad, we left the motorcycle back home, the fall destroyed the ramp, so anyway I'm starting a new job on Monday and was driving north on 75 so I figured I could have them look at me, they jumped on it and had my shoulder x-rayed but I waited it seemed like forever, I needed to drive a long ways, a guy came in an hour after I did, he had his X-rays and was able to talk to the doctor before me, so I mentioned it to the nurse and was told nothing we can do about the delay so after another 15 minutes the doctor lady told me it could take even longer to get the X-rays back, well I waited long enough and said if you see anything, call me, they never looked at my right butt bone area, not very professional if you ask me.

I've been to the emergency room twice at this location. Waited 6 hours to be seen (after initial blood pressure, temp, hr, was taken). During this 6 hour period, I was more worried about a Veteran who looked seriously close to death's door. Even though I was in pain and instructed by my PCP to go to the ED, this Veteran's pain made my slow internal hemorrhage feel like nothing.

The VA (and all the local hospitals) need to get their departments running more effectively. They were sued before for the death of a Veteran in the waiting room. We got to take care of each other.

Been to a lot of VA providers in my years. Most doctors make you feel like your just another body they have to breeze through to keep up with the minimal staffing and high patient volume. L. E. Husband was great, best one I’ve met. I did not feel like I was being rushed at all. He explained everything in a simple way. I felt my concerns were listened to and addressed. Husband had a wonderful bedside manner. A rare gem to come across this day and age!

I didn't actually go to the ER but I was at the hospital. As always they seem to be short-staffed by the backlog of patients in the waiting room. My advice is to go as early as possible to avoid delays. Some days are busier than others..

Typical government.

Triage and head nurse. IE: the Chris's as I call them were great. Clear communication and expressed warmth.

Nurse Laura or Lauren is like a bull in a China shop. From the moment I walked into the ER, she amped things up beyond measure and the entire experienced declined drastically. Getting out of the hostile environment became priority one.

Possibly she thought every patient needs a shark attack upon entering. Maybe nursing isn't for you Laura.

I had a pinched nerve that made basic functioning almost impossible, but DrShannon, nurseAnita, X-ray team and the rest of the staff quickly and efficiently worked on eliminating (troubleshooting) any possible causes that maybe contributing to the issue. At the end of my visit I was given my prescription (filled in house) and sent on my way. Today I am feeling better and will probably be functioning fully in a week. I believe my full cooperation assisted in the effective treatment and diagnosis, and I recommend all other patients do the same in order to show our respect for their service to us the same as they show their appreciation to our service. Outstanding. Bravo Zulu to all I encountered.

It’s a shame to say that the communication level here is poor.
A veteran in need waits going on day 3 to get a call back from here. I never encountered this at a VA Hospital. A patient advocate was supposed to call me 2 days ago.
