What a wonderful little place. Not super fancy, so it's a little bit romantic, you get a warm welcome and the food is seriously good. I had the chicken curry-that chef knows how to make a sensational sauce. The flavour was complex and absolutely delicious. Enjoy!

We were there as a group from Ireland attending the Cumbrian Rally and found this lovely restaurant was excellent from start to finish. Eight of us left very happy. Menu and food choice was outstanding. Staff and service to match. Lovely to meet the host who has family in Clonmel. We will return.

My wife and I received a very warm welcome as we entered the restaraunt. The menu choice offers quite a range and the food we had was delicious.
This is a place that people need to try.

13 of us went to Candles last night to celebrate my Husband's 60th birthday. What a fantastic restaurant. Food was amazing and the service was spot on. All the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had a special evening. Nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend. Thank you to all at Candles .

Overall a good restaurant. Starter I ordered the mayo prawns- not what I was expecting (thought the prawns would be a bit larger in size) but it is quite an interesting dish. Recommended for mayo lovers.
Main course I ordered the rainbow trout and it's great! There are fish bones though so if anyone orders it in the future, do be aware of them.
Tiramisu is also decent.
Staff are lovely. Prices are alright- I'd say it's slightly expensive for what is provided if I have to be honest (around £24.00 for 3 courses). But a solid choice for dinner overall.
