Cool experience and good views
The experience it's just lovely, I took really cool pictures and you can pay with your metro card
The Roosevelt Tram makes a trip approximately every 10 minutes. The trip takes about 4-5 minutes and you have great views, passing by the side of the Queensboro Bridge.
The trip can only be paid with the Metro card.
On Roosevelt Island there is not much to do, a short walk, take some photos or go to a restaurant.
The tramway is an interesting experience.

best experience in my NYC trip so far and you can swipe with the metrocard!
The trams arrive frequently which is great but why not accept OMNY here 😭
Add this review to the "tourist" pile! Even though we lived in NYC when we took the tramway, we took a scenic ride to Roosevelt Island and enjoyed taking a lap around the island. The tramway is a short ride overall, but it's a free connection if you travel via subway or bus to get there.
Super fun!! It gives a beautiful view in the night and only costs one round trip (of $5.50) to get on and come back!!!
